Found the lost post

Day 38
The end of a wonderful trip
Not a lot to say now
We’ve travelled throughout the night and landed in London at 6.40am and are on a train back up North
Had to put jeans on for first time in an eternity

I’ve no words left now
It’s hard to say what’s been highlight we went out to watch cricket and we did, added bits on at beginning and at end to make it a proper trip
The friends we’ve made the hosts we have had Ric, Ash &his Dad, Harry and all the other people we have met - been a pleasure and it’s sad to end now
I’m at work tomorrow

There are people we need to catch up with and we will do
A lifetimes memories made in 38 days
Some real laughs, some amazing sunsets and views
This is probably the last post but if anyone has any questions or comments get in touch
We will do it again

Day 38
Well in between updating my phone and jet lag I seemed to have deleted our last post !!
The end of an amazing trip and memories to last a lifetime
We spent most of the day travelling during night before getting back to Leeds where we went our separate ways
Really sad it’s ended
Work today - been awake since 2am washing machine on but I’ll be asleep at 10 talking to students
Dans off to headingley to throw balls at his mate
Made some great friends along the way who will get back in touch with
All our hosts were magic and we thank you again for
Been a real trip of a lifetime and I’ll not forget it
Thank you Dan for putting up with me but thank you for the memories and being my mate!!
and everyone else who have crossed our paths on the way
It’s the end of the line ( for now at least)

Day 37 another update
Left hotel and got train to airport which was rammed but quicker and cheaper than a taxi
Such a smooth check in with Etihad unlike the other rubbish airline
Wandered round airport so Dan could get a chocolate fix
That was after we had food and Dan met another ladyboy who took a shine to him
Made me eat 4 chilli’s and my mouth and lips were on fire
Now having a final cocktail before we board

Day 37 update
Frosty on p**s again and eaten loads

Day 37 last day
It’s been a blast and today tinged with sadness
One of if not the best trip ever
So much to think about and I couldn’t tell you what the best bit was or the highlight
Some old friends met, new friends made so much

Well we were at a bit of a loose end yesterday in Bangkok as it’s like sim city with all the high rise buildings
So we sat at poolside on floor 17 looking up at this massive building so we decided to go up there and have a look
Turns out it’s the highest hotel in Bangkok with a revolving floor at top - miserable guy at tickets needs a haircut and some manners
Up we went and guess what we looked down at our hotel from floor 84

We then went to where they filmed Hangover 2 but we couldn’t go up as we had flip flops on so off to a suit shop and hired a pair of shoes and up we went
No beers in the most expensive bar in Bangkok
When we came over we made a pact to toast Steve Tatham - dans godfather and my mate who sadly is no longer with us but is never forgotten
So Steve the most expensive whisky was raised to you and we toasted you - a promise made and a promise kept- Top man - never forgotten pictures attached

We then ate so much food we could have been sick and then went out to a dodgy part of Bangkok for the evening- an eye opener !!!!

So now it’s killing time till we go to airport later for flights home

It’s been a blast with so many memories and friends and so much to share and new people we’ve met

Only one more post tomorrow and that’s it

Day 36 update
Breaking news Bsngkok is a bit of a come down from last 2 days !!
Bit of a dump

Day 36
Well we left Phuket and got flight to Bangkok so not a lot to report as yet
I don’t think I’ll forget those last two days
The reflection whilst going around those islands - life goes on but it makes you re evaluate what is important, I thought a lot and took stock of how important family and friends are, I’m glad I came away on this trip it’s been full of amazing days like yesterday
And I’ve made some new friends and lots of memories and will continue to make more in 2026
Just remember to make someone smile and be nice to someone everyday - a smile a phone call that’s all it takes
Anyway we are going exploring Bangkok today and then it’s home later tomorrow
Frosty was on beer again and what a name for a kitchen

Day 35 another update
We have seen some of the most stunning places on this planet and it does not do justice to how beautiful it is
Frosty came canoeing with us
Been to several island
James Bond island
It’s so peaceful and tranquil

Well it’s been an amazing trip full of memories and adventures
We’re at the business end now only 3 days before we come home
After yesterday and the elephants it will be hard to beat
It’s been amazing new places, making new friends new places the cricket
Meeting some special people who we hope to see again
Been a blast

It’s been an amazing trip and we are at the buisness end now just 3 days left
After yesterday it will take some topping those elephants were amazing
Today we are off to James Bond island so pics to follow
It’s been a truly amazing trip lots of places ticked off, lots of memories to last a lifetime, go friendships forged and special people met who we will catch up when we get back
Oh and we had a blast watching cricket
