A fantastic day for Junior Golf at Braintree! ⛳

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Jim Bamforth Junior Bursary Am-Am.

It was a brilliant day, with a fantastic turnout, great golf and, most importantly, tremendous support for our Junior Section.

Every penny raised from the event will go towards promoting golf for young people within our local community – helping us encourage the next generation to discover and enjoy the game.

Our thanks go to everyone who played, supported, sponsored, donated or helped make the day possible. Events like this simply couldn't happen without you.

Very proud of our Braintree Ladies - we squeezed a 3-2 win over Thorndon Park in the Essex Ladies Bronze Inter-Club Final today, played at the Warren - on the hottest day of the year. A very tight match, went down to a last putt on the 18th. Well done both teams, and their caddies, it was sooo hot out there. Many thanks to Jackie Skinner from Essex Golf for organising it all and ensuring we had great referees too. Also, thanks go to the Warren ladies who came out to be ball spotters...who were very much needed in the dry conditions. And, not forgetting our fabulous supporters who were there en masse to cheer us on 👍💕

Braintree Golf Club is holding its first ever Beer Festival from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th August. Everybody's welcome - you don't need to be a member to come along for a drink or two, something to eat, or just enjoy the entertainment.

We have plenty of parking and you can leave your car here overnight and get home safely in an Uber or taxi.

We'll have a selection of Real Ales and Ciders from local breweries with a BBQ and Bingo on Friday night and Live Music from Redwood on Saturday afternoon and Graeme Goode on Sunday.
