Brecon FC Jnrs

The U11s played their first competitive game at home today against our Brecon FC girls and got off to a flier scoring in the first minute and adding two more to go in 3_1 at half time. 2nd half the girls put us under a lot of pressure and deservedly got a goal back lots of attacking from both sides served up a great rest of the half with the U11s holding on for the win.Great start to the season, well done all!!

The U12s were back this weekend after a long break for the summer. It was a lovely sunny morning playing away to Hay girls. Brecon took advantage of early pressure in the first quarter to take the lead with some smooth goals from Danny but Hay improved throughout the half with some excellent breaks and shots testing Reuben in goal. The second half was a similar story with Brecon working some clean passes to break through Hays defence and making the most of small mistakes giving goals to Calon, Llew and Reuben. Hay were not giving up and made some dangerous attacks into the Brecon half that were dealt with cooly by Liliwen who was a rock in defence. Great play and sportsmanship from all players and looking forward to next week!

A great opening game back after a long break! The team settled in really well, with some lovely passing and great teamwork. We had a really close and competitive second game, with everyone working hard and battling right until the end. Another great effort in the final game, with more good passing and plenty of positives to take away.

After what seems like an eternity, it was back to competitive action as an U14 team.

A trip up to Builth for game 1 and against an u13 team that did very well last season faced us. As we know, Builth teams will always give a good account of themselves. A productive preseason and a few new faces have given us a good platform to work from.

The game started well, a little cagey in the open 15-20 minutes before Ollie playing in a new centre back roll, put a great ball over the top for Caleb to chase onto before lobbing it over the keeper to set us on our way. 5 minutes later Charlie out on right cut in and fired a low shot across the keeper and into the far netting. There was still time for Sehen to add a third, nice play into the box before slotting past the keeper. Half time 3 nil.

The second half much like the first but with more control and testing the Builth keeper on a number of occasions saw us only score the 1 goal, a bit of a scramble in the box that saw Sehen smash it home for his second and Brecon's 4th.

A really good performance from everyone that set the standard. Hopefully Oscars hamstring strain won't keep him out for too long as we look to build at home next Saturday against a strong Crickhowell team.

Looking forward to the South Powys U14s Juniors Cup getting underway!

This one takes on a group-stage format before moving into the knockout rounds, giving both of our teams plenty of cup football across the season.

Our U13s will step up and test themselves against U14 opposition, while our U14s face the U13 sides in their group.

A great challenge for both teams and plenty to look forward to. Good luck to everyone involved — enjoy the cup! 🟡⚫️⚽️

U8s had a great start to the season away at Talgarth today. Fantastic to see our new faces enjoying being out on the pitch as well as last year's tweenies players.

We saw some great team play with lots of passes and great movement off the ball. Well done to Betsy on receiving player of the match, very well deserved 👏.

Three of our teams are on the road for the Round of 16, with our U11s, U12s and U13 Girls all in cup action.

A great opportunity for the players to enjoy some cup football, represent Brecon FC and hopefully make some good memories along the way.
