The weather forecast has eased a little, but we are still expecting long periods of rain during the week. Please ensure you have packed the following:

- A Raincoat
- Suitable footwear, boots with metal studs are advised. All our sessions are on grass.
- Spare socks / clothes
- A water bottle and packed lunch

Brecon Corries U11s vs. Hay St Mary’s U12s ⚽

A tough test for our Corries U11s yesterday as they took on a strong Hay U12s side.

Our lads had an unusually slow start to the match but soon started to play some wonderful attacking football and gave it absolutely everything!
In attack, Louie, Pip and Freddie all tested the opposition with brilliant attempts at goal, with Louie hitting the crossbar several times and a few shots going wide from Pip and Freddie but Alex was the one to break through and claim our goal of the morning!
Oscar was also very unfortunate at the death to have a great effort disallowed.

On the wings, Oscar, Chase and Harley Mc made fantastic runs down the flanks, linking up seamlessly with Freddie, Pip, and Louie in the engine room.

The defense worked tirelessly all morning against a tough attacking side, with Harley Jack, Aron, and Alex putting in solid shifts, while Stan was outstanding between the sticks, pulling off save after save!

All in all, it was a fantastic match to watch. The boys showed tremendous heart, incredible team spirit, and never gave up for a single second.
Very proud of you, boys! ♥️🖤

⚽ Corries U12s vs Crick U11s ⚽️

The Under 12s hosted Crick Under 11s yesterday. With Crick travelling short on players, a couple of our lads kindly stepped in to bolster their squad and help make it a competitive game.

Despite going 1-0 down early on, thanks in part to some fantastic midfield play from our own Jack Nicholson. Thankfully though the boys soon found their feet, equalising and then going onto lead 6-1 at the half time whistle.

Crick caused us plenty of problems at the back throughout the game, with the boys struggling to keep tabs on one of their strikers, as well as one or two of our own “loaned” players! 😂 However, we continued to take our chances in front of goal, eventually running out 10-4 winners.

Although lending players arguably made things a little trickier for us, it certainly made for a much more exciting game, and one I think both teams got plenty out of. Fair play to Crick for making a real contest of it! 👏

That’s six wins on the bounce for the boys, who are now joint top of the league! 💪🔴⚫

There are still some tough games ahead, so plenty of hard work to come, but the boys are doing brilliantly.

U9s hosted this morning and continued their development with a strong performance.

We started against Crickhowell U9s which was a good even contest. We had a lot of possession and were well disciplined out of possession.

Next up was a comfortable victory over Brecon Town U9s where we were able to rotate players in different positions.

Lastly we played Crickhowell U10s. We started really brightly and took an early lead. The game was then quite evenly matched before they found an equaliser. In the second half we stuck to our plan of working hard to win the ball back, then go wide to open the pitch up in possession. The boys are really taking the coaching on board and it was great to see them press hard for the winner which duly came with a minute to go.
