Last weekend the Cadet & Junior National
Championships took place in Nottingham.

Strongest Under 17 AllezFencing result was from Michael Malasenkovs who managed to win his poule, advance through the first elimination round but sadly stranded in the next round finishing 17th.
Daniel Polyakov also after advancing from the poule won his first elimination fight but stranded in his next round finishing 30th.

In Under 20 Men Foil Jagroop advanced from the poule but lost a close fight in his first elimination round finishing 44th overall.

Last Sunday the season started with the A category British Ranking Competition in Rickmansworth.

In U20 Men foil our AllezFencers Dominik Juras, Jagroop Shergill and Michael Malasenkovs finished 20th, 33rd and 48th respectively.

Well done and let’s work hard this week to prepare for the competitions ahead.

Daniel Polyakov represented AllezFencing at the England Youth Championships last weekend in Hatfield.

In under 15 Men Foil he progressed from the preliminary round and won his first Direct Elimination but sadly stranded in his second elimination round.
Daniel finished 24th.

Well done Daniel and enjoy the start of the summer holiday!

Michael and Daniel represented Allez at the Men Foil Cadets BRC in Cardiff last weekend.

This is a national ranking event that counts towards the next season.

Michael fenced well to win all his poule fights and passed two elimination rounds until he lost in an evenly matched fight. He reached a strong 9th place overall and Daniel after a difficult poule start recovered by winning his first direct elimination against a higher ranked fencer. He lost in his second elimination round and finished 31st.

Well done both!! It has been a very long season..

Allez is very proud of you.

The last senior event of the season took place last weekend in Sheffield. In Men Foil The British Open Senior Championships were well visited with 119 athletes taking part.

Allezfencers:
Daniel - 8th
Aarav - 19th
Dominik - 42nd
Jagroop - 49th
Michael - 58th
Joseph - 65th

And also Daniel Panga fought on Sunday at the U14 British Open Championships in the same venue where he finished a 17th overall.

Well done all of you!!!

Now for most of you some rest and summer. Some of the youth fencers will still compete in Cardiff this weekend and in Hatfield for the England Youth Championships the weekend after.

Daniel’s first appearance on of the biggest stages of Senior Men Foil is over. At the European Championships in Anthony, France, Daniel didn’t fence freely in the preliminary round and with the strength of the field it meant he unfortunately was cut from the poules.

Not the first senior Europeans he dreamed off, but a lesson going forward that at this level everyone is strong and every hit counts. There is no room for finding form or doubts.

Let’s learn from this and approach the coming first senior World Cup season with more aggression and hunger!!

Allez is proud as always!! Senior World Cup level fencing is not easy, but it is a privilege to be operating in that field!!

5 of AllezFencing cadets competed at the British Under 17 Ranking event in Hendon last weekend.

On Saturday Teo and Anita fenced hard at the Women’s Foil event and Sunday Dom , Michael and Daniel fought in the Men Foil event!

AllezFencing had its 2026 Club Championships last Saturday!!

Although it was very very hot, there were plenty of strong performances and I hope you all had a good time! I know that my wonderful catering & registration manager, Jack and myself had a great time!

Very impressive results from all these young athletes, who all won multiple DE fights to get to their final result. They fenced with courage and heart. There were some tough moments, some exciting close bouts and impressive fencing throughout the day!
