Makes me a little sad
Losing weight isnât something you should be thinking about year after year
Sure, you might wanna tidy up after youâve had a few too many cocktails on your all-inclusve
But outside of the odd occasion?
Itâs not normal to think âI wanna get back into those old denim shortsâ again
- You should be able to eat an amount of food that actually fuels you
That helps you feel energised throughout your long work days
Allows you to enjoy bottomless brunch without having to swap all your drinks
- You owe it to yourself to not feel the need to lose weight all the time
Unfortunately, this is a double edged sword at the moment
Because to really enjoy that freedom, you do first need to lose the weight youâve wanted to for years
But weâve hit Summer - so itâs probably not a good time to do that..
Because you want to be able to have a 99â and a flake at the beach
And youâll spontaneously end up in the pub for a spot of lunch
- So, what do you do??
Do you keep trying over Summer and accept you probably canât have a few Kopparbergs in the afternoon sun and miss out on more than one social your mates have planned so you can stay on track?
Or do you think it would be a good idea to just try to hold where youâre at right now with your weight and enjoy your Summer?
And rather than overly stress about limiting your food whilst you have so much on
Shifting your focus to moving your body a bit more instead?
Getting in the gym for an extra session every week
Getting out in the mornings for a walk etc.
- Changing your mindset from trying to break down the body you hate, to building one you love for a few months
And worry about losing the weight in September when things have calmed down?
I know which Iâd choose..
But donât be fooled, because this will still require some effort
And itâs the type of effort that women like you likely need the accountability for, to ensure you donât just gain loads of weight over the next couple months and end up in a worse position in September..
So if you want to enjoy your Summer stress free and then be rewarded with never needing to stress about getting back into those denim shorts or being on 1200 calo

16 months of graft for this moment
Not JUST for this moment of course
But I donât think Instagram has the storage for me to share the amount of messages Iâve had from Jo expressing her proud moments over that period of timeđ
So why am I pointing out the time-frame?
Well
Because I want you to understand how unrealistic your expectations are
A lot of women I talk to, want it in a snap of a finger
By âitâ I mean the glow and smile that Jo is radiating in that photo
Wearing the wedding dress of her dreams
Then off on holiday with a suitcase full of bikinis
The ânever did I think Iâd be hereâ gratitude
- I mean of course youâre impatient
Because who the f**k wouldnât want to feel that way in the snap of a finger??
Itâs probably because youâve either not felt that way in a long time, or have never felt that way..
Which makes you itch to be in the position Jo is
- Sheâd tell you âif itâs possible for me, then it is for youâ
But
It takes time
It takes cocking things up and trying again
It takes being pushed outside your comfort zone
It takes changing the habits youâve had for years
It takes bloody patience
- And if you can accept thatâll be the case instead of assuming youâre entitled to a quick fix thatâll solve all your problems in 4 weeks
Then maybe youâll eventually achieve what Jo has instead of being in the same position year after year
Which means accepting youâll be able to make SOME decent change before your holiday this year
But to take your body confidence from s**t to sparkling? Weâll be aiming for your holiday in 2027..
And all that goes into helping you achieve that, needs to start right about now
