Experience a ballet adaption of the Welsh folk tale Daughters of the Sea, at on Sunday 31 May (1pm / 3:30pm) at Griffin Park.

Ballet Cymru and Krystal S. Lowe present the bold adaptation, with music by Kizzy Crawford. Every land has its tale, its origin story if you will. Daughters of the Sea is a tapestry of multilingual spoken word, dynamic dance, and a soul/funk/jazz music fusion. Come with us as we tell the tale of three women from different lands – a warrior, a healer, and a leader – journeying to find new adventures until a surprising foe incites them to stand together and fight to protect the freedom to choose.

🩰A huge congratulations to all of our dancers who took part in their RAD ballet exams last week! 🩰

Our Pre-Primary and Primary pupils, many of whom were experiencing exams for the very first time, took everything in their stride and absolutely loved the experience. We are so proud of the confidence, focus, and enthusiasm shown by every single dancer.

We can’t wait to welcome you into your new grades and look forward to receiving your results!

Our pre-primary dancers took to the stage with Let’s Go Fly a Kite and completely stole the show. Together, we worked as a team to choreograph their special moments. They brought every step to life with such heart and imagination.

From proudly holding their kites to twirling across the stage, they filled the theatre with excitement, wonder, and pure joy.

Just look at those faces , full of focus, happiness, and determination. They made everyone in the audience so incredibly proud.

✨Our supercalifragilistic girls took on Mary Poppins with such energy and determination ✨

Together, we challenged our dancers with fast allegro sections, cannon work, intricate patterns, and beautifully synchronised movement, and they rose to every moment. The focus and commitment in the studio was exceptional, and we celebrated every rehearsal where we powered through that chorus together.

What stood out most was how these dancers thrived as a team, truly showing how uplifting and special it is to be part of ballet with such a wonderful group of people.

Let’s take a moment for our incredible blossoming butterflies.

Our youngest performers took everything in their stride and brought such wonderful energy to the stage. Working with our little dancers to create this routine was incredibly special. We built in moments where they could choose their own poses, add their own ideas, and show their personalities so the dance truly felt like theirs.

Their confidence and joy shone through in every moment. It is safe to say they may just have stolen the show.

⭐️We are so proud of each of our blossoming butterflies. Lots of these dancers just 3 years old. What stars! 🌟
