🏌️‍♂️⛳ INTRODUCING OUR CLUB CAPTAIN FOR 2026/27 – GORDON PRICE ⛳🏌️‍♂️

We are delighted to officially welcome Gordon Price as our new Club Captain for 2026/27! 👏

Gordon certainly needs little introduction to many around the club. Having been a member for an incredible 32 years, he has given a huge amount of his time to Coed-y-Mwstwr over the years, including:

⛳ 9 years as Handicap Secretary
🏆 2 years as Competition Secretary
🏌️ 1st & 2nd Team Captain
👏 Wayfarers Captain

As he begins his year as Club Captain, Gordon has shared a few words with our members:

💬 “I am truly honoured and delighted to be taking on the role of Club Captain. To be entrusted with this position by the members of our club is both a privilege and a responsibility that I take very seriously.

Golf clubs are built on far more than the game itself. They thrive because of the friendships, camaraderie, volunteers, staff, committee members and members who give their time and energy to make this such a special place.

As Captain, my aim is simple: to support our members, promote the spirit of the game and encourage participation at every level. Whether you’re a long-standing member, a new member, a competitive golfer or someone who simply enjoys the social side of the club, I hope to make this a year that everyone can enjoy.”

Gordon also wanted to give special thanks to our outgoing Captain Mal Burn for his dedication, hard work and commitment throughout his year in the role. 👏

After more than three decades as part of the club, we’re sure Gordon will bring plenty of experience, passion and enthusiasm to the Captaincy.
