Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three, four, or five times? Sometimes thatโs what it takes to learn.
Some of us hand out chances like theyโre free. We see potential where there isnโt any. We overlook red flags, make excuses, and convince ourselves that this time will be different.
The truth? Some people never deserved the first chance, let alone the second, third, or fourth.
Eventually, you get tired of being let down. You stop confusing kindness with self-sacrifice. You stop giving endless opportunities to people whoโve done nothing to earn them.
Thatโs when boss bitch mode kicks in. Or beast mode. Whatever you want to call it:
You stop settling. You stop chasing. You stop accepting the bare minimum. And the people who canโt meet your standards? They can stay exactly where they belong.
You lot out there, shoulders back. Chin up. Raise your standards and protect your peace. Sometimes the lesson isnโt that people change, itโs that you finally stop giving your energy to those who never deserved it in the first place.
Know your worth. Stand tall. And never apologise for expecting the respect you give so freely.
