Since announcing our closure, the past two weeks and today have truly shown how many people CFPYB has impacted during its time and lโm sure the memories will last forever.
For the final time, thank you to everyone that has stepped through the door. Community is at the heart of what we have built together and Iโll be forever grateful for you all.

A Final Goodbye ๐๐ผ
On Friday 18th April we are inviting past members, current members, friends, family and anyone who has dropped in or wanted to drop in over the past 12 years to join us for a final WOD at CFPYB ๐ฅฒ
We will be kicking off a team WOD at 9:30am and celebrating for one last time what this gym has stood for - Community ๐ซฑ๐ปโ๐ซฒ๐ผ
You donโt need to be a member or even know anyone, save the date, bang it in ye diary and we will see you on the dance floor one last time ๐ค

PYB Nutrition Challenge ๐๐๐ฅฆ๐ง๐ฅฉ๐ฅ๐ณ
with just two weeks left on our nutrition challenge here are some of our midway, checkpoint questions answered, and a supplement cheat sheet for you guys to start adding in some super easy components, which make a minimal difference to your nutritional routine!
One of the goals for this challenge was to keep it as simple as possible, and effective as possible and thatโs exactly what weโve done! As humans when we find routine and autonomy, we tend to get bored and start looking to mix things up, but as always consistency is king, so letโs stay on track and maximize the results in this last two week push before our in body retest! ๐๐ผ
As always, nutrition is down to the individual, but I have tried to answer every question with as much relevance as possible to our group

Using the stimulus above the next 6 weeks will see a progression from 1RM testing and capacity testing to build a strong upper body, stable base and a midline that could be mistaken for a slab of cement ๐ค๐ผ

Feb Nutrition Challenge ๐ฅฉ๐ฅ๐ฅฆ
Hi guys! Happy to announce the intro of our February nutrition challenge! The goal is to help educate and build good nutrition habits across 6 weeks of February and March. We know the world of nutrition can be a bit of a minefield and everyone seems to have their own super secret recipe of how you should go about it which is usually sticking to strict macros and weighing and measuring every bit of food you haveโฆ and thats where we come inโฆ
We are going to show you that you can lose fat, and build muscle using general metrics and tracking the basics to help educate and keep you accountable to build autonomous habits which become easy and automatic choices.. so no more complicated equations or secret squirrel nutrition plans! We will be testing your body metrics (bodyweight / muscle mass / body fat percentage) using an In-Body Metrics Scanner to give you a clear result on your progression over the 6 week period.
How Itโs Going To Work ๐๐ผ
๐Pre-Course Introduction Seminar & InโBody Scan 11am 15th Feb at CFPYB to answer any Qโs and give a bit of insight to what youโll be expecting and what we expect from you
๐Weeks 1-3 - A gradually incorporating & tracking proteins, carbs and fat targets
๐Week 4-6 - Mid way check in seminar and regroup on our intention for the following weeks
๐Week 6 - We will finish this 6 week challenge with a retest of your body metrics with the In-Body Scanner and a casual get together to discuss progress and where to go from this point onwards!
The challenge is absolutely free of charge to members of PYB gyms including CrossFit Pen Y Bont, Pen Y Bont Fitness Brynmenyn & Pen Y Bont Fitness Maesteg but for this we expect full commitment to the challenge over the 6 weeks, active participation throughout and a good attitude coming into the challenge!
