Sweeping fairways. The River Severn on one side. Some of the best greens in Shropshire underfoot.

Maybe you're chasing a good score on the course or just a good walk with a coffee at the end of it. Either way Bridgnorth Golf Club has you covered.

Corks Pop at Bridgnorth Golf Clubs Ch*****ne Breakfast.

The Ch*****ne Breakfast and Fretwell Trophy Competition started in 1989 to celebrate the opening of the New Clubhouse.
This year there were 22 pairs in the competition, which traditionally is followed by copious glasses of fizz and a full English Breakfast. This year the organisers trialled a continental buffet breakfast to try to get everyone seated for food quicker. The copious glasses of fizz were still consumed and there was some good feedback regarding the continental buffet breakfast.
The weather was kind and the competition was played in good spirit and we had a few pairs who had never entered the event before and thoroughly enjoyed it.
In 1st place was Pam Pond & Kevin Thomas, with a nett 66, closely followed by Sally & Will Weaver with 67 and just one shot behind were Alison & Andy Morgan with 68, then in 4th place were Kelvin Jones and Joy Foster also with 68 and then James & Sarah Grainger with 69.
There were a total of 4 twos, with Will & Sally Weaver achieving 2, and Paul & Angela Hinton and Pete Shimmin & Rose Morgan one each.

Huge congratulations to Paul McGarry, who nailed a hole in one on the 3rd this weekend! 🎉

It got us thinking - how many of you have your own hole in one story? On the 3rd, or anywhere else on the course?

We love celebrating our members' wins, big or small. A great round, a personal best, a milestone, a "you'll never believe what happened on the 9th"

Whatever it is, we want to hear about it.

So if you've got news to share, just send us a message with your story (and a photo if you've got one) and we'll take care of the rest.

Bridgnorth GC Ladies Exchange Day at Llanymynech GC.

Bridgnorth Golf Club ladies travelled Llanymynech, on Thursday 20th August, for a golf exchange day.
Ladies Captain, Kate Riley said “Llanymynech is an iconic course where you tee off in Wales and putt in England with far reaching views. 30 ladies came to play and enjoyed the fantastic Llanymynech course and its hospitality. We played a 3 ball alliance format, which my team managed to win with a score of 77 points in challenging conditions, including a couple heavy downpours of rain, which we haven’t seen in Bridgnorth for several weeks.”
Results -
1st Angela Hinton, Sarah Grainger & 2026 Ladies Captain - Kate Riley with 77 pts
2nd Lisa Hales, Sue Burrows & Soheila Stadnik 72 pts on C/b from
3rd Suzanne Huxley, Marlyn Radford & Jane O'Brien 72 pts on C/b 6 from
4th Sally Weaver, Paulette Morris, Dawn Bethell 72 pts
