It's almost like the weather knows the hockey season starts tomorrow... 🌦

League games are back with our L2, M1, M4 and M3 at home from 11am.

Our L1s have made the move from the South West league to North West 🤷🏼‍♀️ and travel away to Leek for their first game. Whilst the L3 and M2 travel to Bloxwich and West Brom, before the M5 have a teatime game away at Worcester.

Importantly, it is also the last weekend of cricket fixtures so it may well be a busy evening back at the club! If the rain holds off, the 2nd XI are at home for those who can support before/after their hockey matches 🏏🏑

With the fun and games of the League starting on Saturday and it also being the last weekend of the cricket season 🤦‍♀️please, please update your captains with your availability (for both sports!!).

For the hockey lot, a simple couple of taps on the Pitchero app is all that is needed...

After the games on Saturday please join us back at the club for a few drinks to celebrate the start/end of the two seasons.

Senior training starts properly tomorrow with the two sections training from 7-8:30pm and 8-9:30pm.

The Ladies have a home game v Cannock on Saturday morning, followed by a midweek game v Shrewsbury School.

Next weekend there are 2x ladies and 2x men's games v Telford - please let Captains know your availability for games!

Our very own Louise Pugh and her friend Ceri are completing a mammoth bike ride to raise money for the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal.

Those that know Lou will appreciate how much she has given to the club, especially in recent years with her captaincy role. Any support for the two of them would be greatly received.

Also...it means the rest of you need to seriously up your pre-season fitness and training to match Lou's efforts!

A Shrewsbury woman who has spent nearly two years undergoing treatment for breast cancer is preparing to cycle more than 300 miles to Glasgow to raise money for the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal.

Pre-season training starts tomorrow - 7pm for all senior players.

It's your chance to show off any snazzy new kit and skills you've seen in the hockey World Cup - and for our younger members it's a chance to run off any pre-results day nerves!

Rob, sponsorship secretary of Bridgnorth Cricket and Hockey Club popped by to drop off a very generous donation of £1,200.

The funds were raised from sponsorship from club members taking on the Senior, Junior and Family Bridgnorth Walk held earlier this year.

Huge thanks to everyone who took on the walk and supported our care.

It's because you care that we can.

As the summer holidays draw to a close we are hosting our...

🏏🏑⚽ MULTI SPORTS CAMP! ⚽🏑🏏

This will be held on both the Bank Holiday Monday and also Tuesday 1st September which is a PD day for most local schools. Junior hockey training begins the following Monday evening so its a great chance to refresh some skills and get active with Cricket and football too.

Our Multi Sports Camp with a fantastic mix of:

Perfect for helping children improve their skills, make new friends, have fun and stay active! 💪

Meet the Coaches:

Holly W - ECB Level 2 coach who currently represents Leicestershire CCC 1st XI, having previously been a Bear!

Sebastian S - Former Bridgnorth CC Batter who currently plays for Shrewsbury CC 1st XI. Sebastian plays for Shropshire CCC in the NCCA competitions.

Both Sebastian & Holly are full time cricket coaches working for Complete Cricket, running club sessions, 1-2-1s and holiday camps.
