Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club are based in Bridgwater, Somerset. We have excellent facilities both for Rugby and social events.

We field three senior men's teams, a women’s team and youth teams from ages 4-18 (Girls & Boys). We field two senior men’s teams in various leagues, a Women’s team and have an active Youth section encouraging children from 5 to 18 to get active in Rugby Football. We are able to cater for events such as weddings, conferences or meetings and can seat up to 250 people.

📣 Fixture Announcement 📣

Rugby Returns to Bath Road this weekend.

On Saturday a Bridgwater and Albion Squad will welcome Winscombe RFC to Bath Road in the last of our pre-season fixtures.

Following our successful joint Training Session with Wiveliscombe RFC and the whole squad Win at Wellington RFC last week we now turn our attention to Winscombe RFC in what will be a real test for the lads.

There is a real buzz around the squad and all of the lads are looking forward to the start of the league season which is now only 9 days away.

The club house will of course be open, with the game Kicking Off @ 2pm, come on down and get behind the lads for the first time this season.

Bridgwater & Albion RFC v Wellington RFC.
Updated, a few more pics added,
As part of preparation for the new season which starts late this year on the 26th September Bridgwater took on the lads from Wellington in a friendly runout.
Bridgy took a very large squad of over 30, to give all those available some game time.
The game was split into 4 periods of 20minutes play
Wellington opened well and took the game to Bridgwater scoring 2 tries in the first 20 minute session.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters were controlled by Bridgwater coming from behind to gain a well deserved narrow win.

Sad Loss of Committed Supporter & Volunteer
All members of Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club are saddened by the announcement of the death of our loyal supporter& volunteer William(Bill) Russell.
Bill was a popular, entertaining & regular visitor to the club in company with his son Angus & daughter-in-law Ria, who in turn have been long-term & excellent sponsors of the club through their former business, Britannia Lanes. Despite his advancing years, Bill was always willing to help the club in any way possible & so when a vacancy for fixtures secretary arose several years ago, he seized the opportunity & took up the post willingly. Now if anyone thinks that this is an easy job, with South West RFU prescribing the fixtures & dates, this overlooks the work which is still required to fulfil the games. - contacting the opposition; agreeing the kick-off time; liaising with the referee, etc.; & much more, particularly when a cup match was on the cards. Bill undertook all of these duties with some aplomb & efficiency & was always able to savour the successful conclusion of the matches with a well-earned drink & joining in the celebrations or commiserations.
Bridgwater & Albion salutes Bill’s attachment & commitment & sends it sincere condolences to Angus Ria & their family for a life well lived.
