P.O.V - it’s 2003 and you have an unlimited budget for a pair of the best custom built wheels on the market… Step up this lovely pair of retro 26” hoops for Mike this morning. Chris King x Atomlab - things really didn’t get much better than this 23 years ago, an era where heavier meant stronger and we all had one bike to do everything all day, from DH racing on the weekend to weekday late night street stair gaps to flat.

Lucky Victoria scored a great deal on this fully loaded Canyon Ultimate CFR and had it delivered directly to the workshop for us to unpack & sort - Some minor adjustments, all the usual PDI jobs and a selection of essential accessories fitted

Interesting I9 wheel rebuild to round up the week here at shop H/Q after customer Matt caught a sniper rock and dinged a rim. This one uses I9’s proprietary ‘system spoke’ where the cnc machined spokes insert through the rim and thread directly into the hub shell - a little more time consuming and totally backwards than any normal rebuild, but great to get this one patched up ready for the weekend. Shoutout to the Lyon Equipment crew for the last rim in the UK 🙌🏻

Great to meet new customer Richard & this Marin Rift Zone XR today. We had this one in for a couple of jobs after a little accident out on the trails - badly bent E13 crank arms binned for a killer Praxis upgrade plus a Fox shock sort out - Remember we are the only local workshop with a dedicated suspension bay able to turn forks/shocks round in-house without the need to send items away.

HUGE job on the cards today for this Santa Cruz Bronson C - lucky young Scott’s spent the whole Summer in Europe riding pretty much every known spot to man out there and, as you would imagine, this bikes had somewhat of a hard time! Its last day of the trip was Les Gets world champs track a day before practice and then it was driven straight back to us here at the shop. Almost every single item stripped/cleaned or replaced/upgraded ready to head off to Sheffield to take on the Yorkshire Winter.

Here at the workshop we know accidents happen, especially with a dirt jump bike - but as usual we always have a solution to get things sorted with minimal fuss. In this case this virtually new Marzocchi Bomber fork had sustained some damage to a stanchion and as single replacement wasn’t possible (due to it using an older Fox 36 Rhythm non evol leg) we sourced the last complete crown steerer assembly in the UK for the replacement - full fork service while we were in there and returned to the bike as good as new.
