ROUND 2 starts THIS FRIDAY! 🎉

After the success of our first league, we’re delighted to announce the start of Round 2 – with 6 brand-new quiz nights and another chance to battle it out for the League Champion title! 🏆

Sadly, as shown in the photos, the Dog Bin at the top of Northmoor Green has been damaged. Around the time it happened, a 4x4 with a car trailer was seen turning around in that area. If this was an accidental bump by a fellow resident, please do reach out—accidents happen, and we would just appreciate your help in getting it sorted.
The bin is still functional for now, and we’ll contact the council to report the damage and confirm they can still empty it. Since it took a lot of effort and community goodwill to secure this bin, getting a replacement is unlikely. We are going to attempt a repair ourselves, so if anyone with handy skills is willing to lend a hand, your help would be hugely appreciated!

Update
Having spoken to NPTC they have very kindly agreed to send out their contractor to assess the damage. Looking at it, whoever hit it did a tremendous job and suspect it is not repairable. Looking to acquire another and having spoken to a few people at the site will look to position it a few yards to the right as you look at the river which is where we originally envisaged - perhaps up on the bank It has to stay in the relative area. If anyone else has an opinion and wants to take the lead please let us know - happy to step back.

🎉 THE VILLAGE PUB QUIZ LEAGUE IS BACK! 🎉

We’re delighted to announce that Verity is once again happy to host our Village Pub Quiz nights! 🥳

Round 2 kicks off on Friday 25th September at 7pm at Moorland & Fordgate Village Hall — and we’d love to see lots of our villagers coming along to support it.

You don’t have to be a quiz whizz, and you don’t have to commit to the whole league. Come along for one night, bring your friends, make a team or join one when you arrive — it’s all about having a bit of fun, a few laughs and enjoying an evening together. ❤️
