It’s been 24hrs since we last rode the bikes (nearly 24hrs from when we finally got home after our train got cancelled 🤦🏻♀️). And during this time I’ve been totting up our stats for those that are into data. Enjoy…
Over these 4 days we:
🚵🏻Climbed 10,603ft elevation (that’s nearly 4 Burj Khalifa’s stacked on top of one another)
🚴🏻♀️Cycled 163.6mi/263.28km (that’s the equivalent of 6.2 marathons)
🕑 Spent 31hr 04mins and 8secs “on the road”
🍬Burnt roughly 9,348 calories
💦 Sweated out 17,230ml
Looking at this numbers just doesn’t give it justice of what we it actually took to pull off this epic challenge and adventure.
The planning, the booking, the training, the packing, the snack trails, the early starts… all on top of “normal life” and work commitments.
Was it worth it? HELL YES!!
Would we do it again?? …. Well we kinda have to as we have 23mi in our wheels itching to get out!!!
But we would do it again and again and again and again and again if we had too just so not one more life is lost to Pancreatic cancer.
Thank you each and every one of you that has donated, cheered us on, given kind (and funny) words of encouragement and just been generally here to support us on our great big challenge.
We have LOADS more to do. It’s back in the pool for Tash and I this week. Those kilometres are not going to swim themselves!
Stay with us please 🙏 we will need those encouraging words more than ever!
