Had my first game of spoons today and, with a bit of luck on my side, managed to get the record highest-ever score of 110 points! 🥄🏆

What a great morning and really enjoyable game. There were 24 players, so it was a fantastic turnout and a brilliant atmosphere.

I’m sure I’ll be back again — hopefully I can keep the luck going! 😂🥄

Bridport Indoor Bowls Club's Summer finals weekend saw some great action with Jim Kelly winning the Open Singles 22.18 against Huw Rees. Rees took an early 8.1 lead before Kelly fought back to make it 18.18 before a last end four count gave him the title.

Andy Spiller won the Singles League with a two sets to nil win over Daniel Humphries.

Spiller contested the Australian Pairs final with Phil Hedges but were beaten by Mary Hansford and Jackie Godfrey after an extra end shoot out. Godfrey them teamed up with Nick Edwards to win the Drawn Pairs 20.11 over Rees and Brian Suffling.

Maria Lloyd, Mel Glazer and Mike Fletcher picked up the Drawn Triples Cup after a 19.10 win over Gordon Lee, Jenny Harding and Spiller.
