Training right now is about keeping my head in the right place.

I’m not preparing for a show.
I’m not chasing ridiculous amounts of size.
Right now I train because it keeps me grounded.

After years of pushing to the extreme for stage condition, dieting hard, and chasing that next level physique, there comes a point where you learn to appreciate training for a different reason.

For me at the moment it’s about:
• Staying in shape
• Feeling strong
• Keeping my mind clear
• And enjoying the process

The gym has always been more than just building muscle for me. It’s structure. It’s discipline. It’s therapy.
Some days you train to compete.
Some days you train to grow.

And sometimes… you train simply because it keeps you in a good place mentally.
And that’s more than enough.

I haven’t posted something like this in a while.
No hype. No shouting. Just honesty.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 10 years now.
Delivered thousands of PT sessions.
Coached hundreds of real people not just transformations you see online.

And over all those years, one pattern has always stood out.
Every client wanted change.
Better health. More confidence. A body they felt proud of.

But not everyone reached the goal they set.
Not because they weren’t capable.
Not because they weren’t “cut out for it”.

The difference was always how much that goal truly mattered to them at that time in their life.
Some people were ready to change their habits, not just their body.
Some were willing to stay consistent when motivation disappeared.
Some needed time, structure, and accountability and trusted the process.

Others weren’t there yet. And that’s okay too.
This post isn’t about pressure or judgement.
It’s about understanding where you’re at honestly.

So I’ll ask you, genuinely 👇
Do you feel ready for change right now, or are you still figuring things out?
Both answers are valid.

If you’re in a place where you want guidance, structure, and support I’m here.
If not, keep learning, keep showing up for yourself, and take your time.

And if you want to talk no pressure, no hard sell

Being in shape vs not being in shape which is better? 🤔

Here’s the honest truth:
neither is “better” for everyone.

Some people are genuinely happy not being in shape.
They enjoy food without tracking, weekends without gym alarms, and a life where training isn’t a priority.

And if their health is good, their confidence is solid, and they’re genuinely content that’s their win. No judgement.

On the flip side…
Being in shape gives you something different.
Structure.
Discipline.
Energy.
Confidence.
Mental toughness.
Training teaches you how to show up when you don’t feel like it.
It carries over into work, relationships, parenting, and self-respect.

For me, being in shape isn’t about abs it’s about standards.
But here’s where people get it twisted 👇

Being in shape only becomes a problem when it:
Controls your life
Damages your relationships
Steals joy instead of adding to it

And being “out of shape” only becomes a problem when it:
Hurts your health
Lowers your confidence
Stops you doing things you want to do

So what’s actually better?

👉 Being aligned.

If you’re out of shape but happy, healthy, and confident own it.
If you’re chasing fitness because it sharpens you, grounds you, and better respect.

The worst place to be?

Wanting change… but pretending you don’t.
No shame either way.

Just be honest with yourself.
That’s the real flex.

You can get results without living like a monk.
The real secret isn’t cutting out everything you enjoy… it’s balance.

When you’ve got structure in your training and you follow a diet that fuels your goals, you don’t need to fear a meal out or the foods you enjoy.
What matters is what you do most of the time, not the occasional treat.

If your week is built on:

✔️ Consistent training
✔️ Hitting your protein target
✔️ Eating mostly whole, nutrient-dense foods
✔️ Keeping your calories in check

…then the odd pizza, burger or dessert won’t ruin your progress.
It’s the daily habit of eating rubbish with no structure that holds people back not the occasional treat.

Build discipline, not punishment.
Create structure, not restriction.
Enjoy your food, and still achieve the physique you want.

How to Tackle Hunger While Dieting 🍽️🔥

One of the biggest challenges when you’re in a fat loss phase is dealing with hunger — and it’s completely normal. Your body is simply responding to fewer calories. But there are smart ways to manage it 👇

✅ 1️⃣ Prioritise Protein
Protein keeps you fuller for longer and helps preserve muscle. Make it the focus of every meal — think lean meats, eggs, fish, Greek yoghurt, or protein shakes.

✅ 2️⃣ Load Up on Volume Foods
Veggies, salads, and fibrous carbs add bulk to your meals without adding many calories. They make your plate look and feel satisfying.

✅ 3️⃣ Stay Hydrated
Sometimes you’re not hungry — you’re just dehydrated. Drink water throughout the day and before meals.

✅ 4️⃣ Space Your Meals Wisely
If you get hungry late at night, save a portion of your calories for an evening snack rather than eating too much early in the day.

Remember: feeling a bit hungry is part of the process when dieting it’s your body signalling that it’s using stored energy (fat). The goal isn’t to avoid hunger completely, but to manage it effectively.

You’re not starving you’re progressing 💪

Once upon a time, bodybuilding was my life. 🏆

Every meal, every rep, every ounce of discipline I had was channelled into building a physique I could step on stage with. I lived and breathed it the structure, the sacrifice, the thrill of competing and pushing my body to the absolute limit.

Bodybuilding taught me lessons I’ll never forget:

The value of structure and discipline

Those results come from patience and consistency

And that you can completely reinvent yourself if you commit fully

Even though I’ve stepped away from the stage, bodybuilding will always be part of me. It shaped who I am today not just as an athlete, but as a coach, a man, and a person with the drive to keep chasing new challenges.

Once upon a time, bodybuilding was my world. And the lessons I learned from that chapter are the reason I can now build others up in their own journeys. 💪
