We’re very grateful for the help we’ve had from Claudette, and other volunteers over the years, and we’re lucky enough to have a great bunch of volunteers with us at the moment.

Among other things, they’re involved in helping us to get ready for the next Stanmer Organics OPEN DAY on Saturday 25th July. It’s always a fun, family day. Do pop the date in your diary!

Supporting nature, while being immersed in it, is what we offered here, as more beautiful, unique and natural bird boxes were made. It’s always a pleasure to see students get creative and learn new skills through the process. Thanks for getting stuck in and working so hard for our feathered friends.

These bird boxes are perfect for our little garden visitors such as sparrows, robins and blue t**s. If we get footage of any new residents we’ll share it here so watch this space.

This was our last public bird box workshop of the season. However, if you have a group of 4-8 people who’d like to make one, or you’d like to do a corporate awayday, do get in touch as we could do a bespoke workshop for you.

It was a pleasure to host the West Norfolk YAB youth group at the workshop this week. They worked hard, learned traditional carving skills and took home some gorgeous walking sticks and Scandinavian kuksa bowls.
All of these items were made from locally sourced wood and can be returned to nature when they are no longer needed, or passed on through generations.
We hope you enjoyed your time with us and learned something new. You’re welcome back any time.

Who wouldn’t want to nest in these?!

Two very cute and quirky natural bird boxes left the workshop this weekend. Many skills were learned along the way and a lot of fun was had.

One was made as a Mother’s Day gift, the other as a birthday experience gift. It’s exciting to think who the first feathered residents will be. We’d love to know.

Due to demand, we’ll be running this workshop again in a couple of weeks. Would you be interested in joining us?
