Another good morning out at Felbridge this week.
Malcolm McKemey consistently scoring over 60% in the Novice tests 💪
Pippa and I jumped the 80 and 90cm, I'm really happy with how her jumping has come on and I feel like our trust in each other has really grown this year.
Marie Bancroft-Rimmer rode a fantastic Prelim test in the SNOW last week (we hid from the blizzard and failed to take any pictures!)
There's been lots of other fun things going on too, I should take more pics!

Some photos from a lovely day out on Saturday.
Malcolm McKemey rode a beautiful Novice test with a great score of 64%, and Pip and I jumped the 80cm (with one unlucky pole) and rode Elementary 2.
I haven't ridden an Ele for a few years now so was really pleased to come away with 65.86%
Probably the nicest moment of the day was at the end of my test, when the lovely judge actually got out of her car to tell me how much she loved Pippa and how beautifully schooled she was ❤️
The biggest compliment you can recieve when time, love and soul goes into your work.
Well done team Pippa, its a collective effort !
I dont usually go round with a phone whilst on top of a horse as I think they should be a phone free zone generally! And not all ponies will tolerate it either...But I took this for a lovely client as they are away on holiday and its nice to know your pony is ok :)
This little ginger ninja had been a bit stressed the last month and was settled and relaxed today which was evident by the fact I'm cantering around with a phone in one hand 🤣
Good boy! 🐴

Things have been rather chaotic of late due to moving house!
But here's a lovely picture of Pippa from last weekend amongst the chaos!
Pippa and I popped out to crabbet park yesterday - she jumped really well on a course that asked a lot of questions, with some elements she hadnt got a lot of experience with.
I accidentally dismounted rather hilariously at fence 4 (nearly stuck it.) Luckily as it was clear I was not hurt (and laughing) the stewards gave me a leg up and let me carry on and jumped the remaining 23 fences, which all went fine.
Never hurts to have an unscheduled dismount every few years, good to stay sharp! Thanks for taking us Malcolm McKemey !

Lots of 'first times' this week
Marie Bancroft-Rimmer had her first beach outing with her super cob and it was wonderful to watch her enjoying a canter down the beach.
One of my younger riders jumped her first 50-60cm full course in training at Felbridge Show Ground, and rode beautifully
Malcolm McKemey rode a lovely prelim 4 and had had some fantastic consistent scores in the 63-64% range 💪
I jumped Pippa round a small course in the bitless bridle for the first time and she was fabulous and jumped a lovely clear. 10 minutes after scoring 70% and coming 2nd in our dressage class. Super girl.
Friday I didnt get the fancy dress memo for Pony club Hickstead camp SJ relay day, but luckily someone saved me with a superman outfit (no pics sorry 🤣)
I had the pleasure of riding the new 4yo's this week at one of the riding centres I coach at.
They were all impeccably behaved, and quite far on for their age. 'Crumble' popped round a few fences very sweetly.
Managed to squidge in a boulder session and some running.
It all starts again tomorrow !
Tomorrow morning is the first day of 9 days off in a row for me!
I absolutely adore my job and all my amazing clients, but my goodness I am really ready for a rest after a really busy first half of the year.
I think my last week off was last September !
Thank you to everyone for making it a lot of fun and its been fantastic watching you all progress and learn with your horses.
So 9 days of rest....after the marathon I entered tomorrow morning 🤣
Here's a fun slow mo of Pippa jumping last week 🥰

Pippa did a lovely job with the low and wide oxer this morning.
This is a good way to work on reach and shoulder mobility when jumping, and its also useful for horses that aren't so keen on jumping ditches xc.
One of my other lovely clients was sadly feeling under the weather so I did a bit of stretchy flatwork with lovely Tart, who was very willing and really loosened up by the end
Well done ponies!
