Our kids' strength and conditioning classes run every Thursday afternoon at 4.30pm
We work on improving strength and cardio whilst mixing in games to make it fun
This is a great way to supplement your kids' training if they practice or compete in other sports or if they are not really into school PE!!

We are very excited to be holding our very first mindset workshop very soon
The aim of this workshop is to identify how and where negative self-talk might show itself and show you ways in which to manage it, diffuse it, and reframe it to something positive.
Stress, anxiety, low confidence, and imposter syndrome are all common with people who regularly train and/or compete, and we want to give you tools to deal with it

Our next workshop is ready, and we are talking about mindset
This workshop is open to everyone, members and non-members, and isn't just exclusive to people who do CrossFit. If you are someone who trains or practices other sports, this might be good for you too
The aims of this workshop are to
Become aware of how you are talking to yourself leading up to and during training or competing
Identify the roots of negative, or unhelpful, self talk, and notice how it impacts how you feel about yourself and your training
Learn strategies to enhance your self talk, and manage stress/ anxiety so you can train and perform at your best

NON WEIGHT RELATED WINS - NUTRITION COACHING
Part of our nutrition coaching course is to check in with you every week. It provides us with a clear view of where you are currently at and if we can provide you with further guidance and it provides you with accountability and a chance for us both to celebrate ALL of your wins
Whilst our nutrition coaching has the final outcome of fat loss, we want to create lasting habits and an environment for long-term change
We want to make real lifestyle changes, not short-term results

Last week we took our group of kids through their first Squat progressions and introduced hanging into the program . It was great fun!

Each 4 week block we focus on 2 foundational movements. This gives them the chance to have consistency and improvement in those movements before the focus changes. We add progressions safely over time but our main focus is great movement!

Our community is a special one...
I’ve always enjoyed cycling (and less so running) for fun and some fitness, but in about 2022, I came to realise I didn’t feel good at all and wasn’t happy with how I looked. I was probably a bit depressed. I think being a dad (dad bod), working hard, and not really thinking about looking after myself for years had taken its toll. My mental health wasn’t good, and I had constant neck and back pain, probably from sitting at a computer. I knew going to a gym on my own just wouldn’t work (at my core, I’m lazy, and there’s no way I would motivate myself!). But when I spoke to Emma, having enquired on the website, I was reassured to give it a go. It has honestly been one of the best decisions of my life!
I need to exercise first thing, when I can’t really think about it and chicken out. What I love about coming to the 6am SeaCity class is that everyone is their true self. There’s no airs and graces, no job titles, no status, just a group of diverse and friendly individuals trying to wake up, looking to improve themselves. you soon realise that everyone is there for themselves and to support each other. There’s a huge amount of goodwill, encouragement, and a heartwarming sense of community from everyone at SeaCity. I absolutely love all these random people!
CrossFit can be quite technical. But I’ve really enjoyed gradually getting better at certain things. There’s always something to work on. My strength and CV fitness has gradually, naturally improved but you start to understand the technical aspects of some of the movements (like Oly lifting or Gymnastics) and that’s really cool - learning and improving every class.
I get pretty grumpy if I haven’t been to SeaCity for a few days - I need the hit of adrenaline it’s give me! Both physically and mentally.
I’d bloody miss these people if I stopped going. I love seeing them grow and improve. It’s a brilliant community of kind, beautiful humans

We wanted to give a member shout out to Chris today!!
Throughout this year, Chris has made some huge progress in so many things
His overall gymnastics has come on so much, his overall strength has gone up massively, on Wednesday he pb'd his 3rm Sn**ch and over the course of his nutrition coaching he lost a total of 7kg
Congratulations, Chris!! You've smashed it! Looking forward to what 2024 brings!
