Thank you Dame Kelly 💫🥇🥇💫 for nominating Brighton and Hove FrontRunners to receive a donation from Attitude Magazine in recognition of your Icons award last year.

We were delighted and surprised at the announcement at 2025’s Brighton and Hove Rainbow Run
So on the eve of this year’s Rainbow Run we wanted to share how we’ve used it.

Our club’s aims were to increase visibility of our LGBTQ+ running club and to improve accessibility.

So we now have an amazing set of hi visibility running tops for all our run leaders - we can see them a mile off...literally!

Our massive new flags will help people find us at events and our backpack flags help increase our visibility in Pride marches, charity runs and other events.

Every item has a QR code so anyone can find us online straight away, find out more about us and even sign up to join in just a few quick clicks.

We’re very grateful for all the support and leadership you bring to running and to LGBTQ+ sports and we hope to see you again soon!

We want to say a massive congratulations to Claire Alleguen who has received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to Diversity and Inclusion, in the King’s Birthday Honors. The King's Birthday Honours mark the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK. Claire has received this for her contribution to LGBTQ+ community through her work with the Colleague Network Group (Local Engagement Manager and Chair of OUTbound Network, Transport for London), Brighton & Hove Frontrunners and the Rainbow Run. Claire has been a pivotal member of the club, having previously been the chair for a number of years, and also during the pandemic. Claire has helped to develop a great community for LGBTQ+ runners in Brighton and Hove and continues to be an active member. Alongside this in 2022, she founded the Brighton and Hove Rainbow run, now an official part of the city's Pride Programme, endorced by England Athletics and raising thousands for LGBTQ+ charities. Since it started she has helped to triple the participation through her roles as Chair and Race Director. We are all very proud of you and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Last night we celebrated 7 years as a club, we have grown from a small group to over 100 members providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ people to come and run 💜 it has been a great 7 years from many Wednesday runs, social, races, club champs to great laughs along the way! Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the club throughout this time- we couldn’t have done it without you 🥳🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️👟
