What have I been up to recently?

Here are a few shots of a few bits I've been up to while keeping on top of training from a balanced approach with a few delicious healthy meals in between! 🍝 🍷 Swipe right

Don't forget you don't always have to overwork yourself every day in a gym to stay on top of your end goal (I have been guilty of this in the past), but just going for that evening walk will do the trick

As a Coach, I have used this approach to deliver enjoyable, practical, engaging training programs tailored to your lifestyle from a balanced aspect without the guesswork

While, as my client, speaking freely about your struggles and understanding and appreciating exercise's benefits on mood, confidence, mental health, stress, and positivity

10 reasons to drink more water

The first thing we should do in the morning before anything is drink a big glass of icy cold water to kick start the day, your body will work hard to convert it to body temperature allowing you to burn more calories shortly after waking up, here are some tips on how it can improve your well-being

1. More energy throughout the day

water gives you energy by helping to prevent fatigue and tiredness that come with dehydration

2. Regulates body temperature

when there is too little water in the body, heat storage increases and the individual is less able to tolerate heat strain

3. Improves skin complexion

drinking water gives us a more healthy, radiant complexion

4. Aids weight loss

drinking water prior to eating reduces intake, reduces hunger and raises metabolism

5. Reduces stress

dehydration leads to higher cortisol levels (the stress hormone) by staying hydrated you will feel better equipped to deal with everyday issues

6. Helps maintain blood pressure

lack of water can cause blood to become thicker, increasing blood pressure

7. Helps with digestion

water in our digestion system helps dissolve fats and soluble fibre, allowing these substances to pass through more easily

8. Prevents headaches/migraines

headaches and migraines are mainly caused by dehydration

9. Improves mental health

dehydration can negatively affect our mood and ability to think

10. Helps to build muscle

water carries oxygen to the cells of our body, including muscle

If we typically start to build a routine of drinking around 8 large glasses of water per day, this is a good starting point, although it does vairy from person to person based in activity level and other factors

How does running make you feel?

With my clients I always like them to finish their training session with some form of conditioning, as I know they’ll be feeling incredible after the hard work to round off the workout.

Not only that but there are so many different health benefits which include, improved mental health, lowering blood pressure, build self-esteem and aid them towards reaching their personal health and fitness goals.
