As 2025 draws to a close, we’re delighted to announce our December 2025 Coaches’ Player — our Vice-Captain Owen Russell.

Owen has been outstanding since joining us at the start of the 25/26 season. He’s stepped up as Captain when needed and even adapted to a new midfield role due to injuries. Through it all, he’s been a tower of quality, leading by example and setting the standard for those around him.

Matchday 11 sees the Young Hawks return to home action as they host a strong Eastbourne United AFC side. With this being the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, anticipation is high for a tight, tactical contest. Both teams come into the new year refreshed after the Christmas break, so expect plenty of energy and intensity as they look to set the tone for the months ahead.

Full-time: Young Hawks 0–2 Peacehaven Stripes. The result doesn’t tell the story — we dominated large spells and created real chances, but the goal just wouldn’t come. Peacehaven’s defence was rock solid. Proud of the performance and excited for a stronger 2026. Our VC Owen Russell stole the show with his excellent display of defensive and attacking forward play.
