🏌️‍♂️🐻Event - Cubs on the Course 🐻🏌️‍♀️
A new junior golf initiative designed specifically for children under 12yrs, creating a fun, safe and confidence-building introduction to the game.

Our goal is simple: make golf more accessible, create positive first experiences, and help young players fall in love with the sport.
What to expect? ⛳
✅ 6 shortened holes (around 150 yards each)
✅ Maximum of 5 shots and 3 putts per hole
✅ Adult caddies supporting every participant
✅ Medals for all players 🏅
✅ Prizes for our winners 🎉
The format is designed to keep things moving, reduce pressure, and maximise enjoyment, helping young golfers build confidence while learning the game in a supportive environment.
Through Cubs on the Course, we’re looking to:

🏌️ Increase junior participation
🏌️ Build confidence and golf etiquette
🏌️ Create a pathway into the game
🏌️ Strengthen links with the local community

With events planned throughout the summer, we’re excited to welcome the next generation of golfers to the course.

This week we said goodbye to a wonderful man, Gavin O’Donohoe. Gav faced cancer with incredible courage, resilience, and heart right until the very end. He was a true inspiration, showing all of us that following your dreams can bring solace, purpose, and unforgettable memories even during life’s hardest battles.

As his golf coach, I had the privilege of helping him fulfil a lifelong ambition — entering Open Qualifying together. Training hard, chasing improvement, and striving to get better at the game of golf while a far bigger game loomed in the background showed the kind of character Gav had. He never stopped fighting, never stopped believing, and never stopped smiling.

Thank you for letting me share those special memories with you, Gav. Fly high, keep making birdies my friend. ❤️
