This week we said goodbye to a wonderful man, Gavin O’Donohoe. Gav faced cancer with incredible courage, resilience, and heart right until the very end. He was a true inspiration, showing all of us that following your dreams can bring solace, purpose, and unforgettable memories even during life’s hardest battles.

As his golf coach, I had the privilege of helping him fulfil a lifelong ambition — entering Open Qualifying together. Training hard, chasing improvement, and striving to get better at the game of golf while a far bigger game loomed in the background showed the kind of character Gav had. He never stopped fighting, never stopped believing, and never stopped smiling.

Thank you for letting me share those special memories with you, Gav. Fly high, keep making birdies my friend. ❤️

As 2026 commences it marks a significant milestone for our business — over 10 years of coaching, development and performance results at The RFGA.

While this year has again presented personal health challenges, living with Fibromyalgia & pain conditions our focus has remained firmly on delivering the highest possible standards for our players. Although not everything planned could be executed, the business has continued to move forward and produce outstanding outcomes.

2025 performance highlights include:
• Youngest ever winner of the Sussex Ladies County Championship.
• Sussex Girls U18s Champion
Sussex Girls U15s Champion
• Sussex Under 14s Order of Merit winner
• Polish, Turkish & Spanish U12s Champion

We are also extremely proud of former junior pupil Marco Penge, whose three DP World Tour victories in 2025 secured his place at The 2026 Masters at Augusta — a testament to long-term development and belief in the process.

Looking ahead, 2026 promises further growth and opportunity for our clients, including our unique international coaching experiences across:
Morocco, Turkey, Spain, Portugal and France.
