We want the Government to remove VAT from all children’s swimming lessons to keep them affordable and accessible. We believe swimming is a vital life-saving skill, not a luxury, and high costs can prevent many children from learning to swim safely.

Adding VAT to children’s swimming lessons makes them less affordable and we feel risks excluding children from learning to swim safely. when there are fewer school swimming lessons available, private swim schools become more essential. Thousands of children leave primary school unable to swim confidently. Increasing lesson costs will, we think, only make this worse. We urge the Government to remove VAT from all children’s swimming lessons and keep swimming accessible for all children.

Today our equipment has a very important job… helping children build the skills and confidence they need to stay safe in and around water 💙

From floats and noodles to fun challenges, every activity we do has a purpose — developing safe entries, floating, movement, water confidence and knowing what to do if things don’t go to plan.

Water safety isn’t just a lesson, it’s a life skill 🛟

This week we’re proud to support Drowning Prevention Week and help our swimmers understand how to enjoy the water safely.
