Oh boundaries how I love thee! They're such a critical stepping stone in the journey to freedom and empowerment. Why? Well, you'll have to read the blog for that 😉

🤩 Freedom! 🤩
So often we hide from being our fullest selves. This keeps us from having what we truly want and deserve in life. It also keeps us from sharing our gifts with the world. And that’s a crying shame.
Just *You* as all of who you are, is enough.
I know I’ve played small sometimes, minimised myself, people pleased, held back. I recognise that and I also know that a big part of the journey to freedom is self trust.
I have already walked through fires and will continue to do so for as long as it takes to keep my freedom. Not only of Self and of expression, but as a long held value for how I live my life and support others to do so.
🤩 Want to walk the road of self trust?
🤩 Want to be confidently, unashamedly you?
🤩 Ready to feel the kind of freedom that allows you to start having the life you really want?
🤩 Ready to know what just letting go of all those old fears can do for you?
🤩Want that beautiful release when it suddenly dawns that it’s simple? The work works.
🤩 Ready to reclaim yourself and ownership of your life?
I have a couple of spaces to work with awesome women who are dipping their toes into greater self empowerment and can feel that they are ready to boldly explore what this will bring them. Drop me a DM for a joyful chat. No sales crap, let’s talk about what your vision for yourself really is. Even if we don’t work together you’ll go away with a fresh perspective 🙂
And this is me. Free. Dancing. Dancing like I just don’t care, cos I don’t 😜 ( back to see Fatboy 20 years on!).
I will always love and live my life on my terms. I’m grateful that I do and can. (Spoiler: we all can. At heart it’s simple I promise 💜).

"What I learned from a monk"
During lockdown I opened myself up to all kinds of new teachings and inspiration, looking for some stability in an insane world.
What Arjuna taught me has never left me, even though I was pretty unlikely candidate for Ishaya wisdom at the time!
His beautifully simple and expansive words helped me create inner freedom, peace and acceptance that are still a platform for how I do my best to operate no matter what is going on around me.
Written with much gratitude for his desire to simply help others.

Brene Brown fans, or anyone who would like to show up and live more authentically and courageously. As someone who has struggled with vulnerability, and from my desire to live even more authentically, I took this wonderful course last year, run by a certified Daring Greatly coach. It was beautiful, tender, heartfelt magic. It took a certain bravery for me even to sign up, but I'm delighted I did. Emma is now running the course again and I'd highly recommend it if this an area you'd like to dive into.
Ongoing self development never really ends, but each step can be more beautiful and rewarding if you let it.
Daring Greatly™ – Online via Zoom – Show up, be seen, live brave in extraordinary times. – Emma Collins Coaching
Daring Greatly™ is a highly experiential, intensive training based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. In these extraordinary times I have shifted to an online version via zoom.

I was reminded of my own human-ness as I was coached today, and it was glorious (yes I absolutely invest in being coached and developing!).
That my journey includes and encompasses all parts of me. Not just the big, magical, sexy stuff, but the small, scared vulnerable bits too.
They are all coming along for the ride because I am more whole and more real for being all of who I am.
I realised my ego’s attraction to living in my power meant denying parts of me I preferred to ignore. The parts that seek validation, approval, permission. I thought these parts were best kept in submission. Actually that it was best to pretend they didn’t exist, so they couldn’t hamper my evolution and my ‘bigness’.
It’s an identity construct, especially for us practitioners who believe we might need to show up in certain ways. And it’s unnecessary. We are all human, with all the feelings, emotions, rawness that entails. To deny or label these parts as wrong/unworthy/unwanted is to unconsciously label ourselves the same way. This is what hinders growth.
Deconstructing this brought relief and joy. The realisation that the more I embrace each aspect of my humanity, the greater my magic and my practice can become 🥰

The power of empowerment
I was reminded by a client today about what standing in your power really means and brings. Generating self empowerment and belief is a fairly key tenet of coaching. We talked through how he knew he was holding himself back, and how things would look and feel if he were acting in his power. By not doing so, he was denying the world of his gifts and talents to lead and to heal.
In the simplest of terms, it’s a way of being that allows us to expand, to do and be what we love (even if they scare us), to offer our real gifts and selves to the world. It’s a feeling we can generate, of strength, resilience, integrity. It creates forward momentum and frees us to tap into our potential.
Empowerment incorporates self belief, and acting on that belief - yes I am good enough to offer my paid services/go for that promotion/stand up for myself. We can tap into this if we notice we feel disempowered, knowing that each of us truly do hold inside the keys to our own power. Disempowerment feels like questioning ourselves, holding ourselves back or having numerous conditions in place before we can move forward. If you catch yourself in unhelpful thoughts, you can always choose differently, asking yourself what acting in a more empowered way would look like right now.
I am a great believer in acting “as if”. We all lack self confidence sometimes, doubt ourselves, compare to others, suffer perfectionism or imposter syndrome. Interestingly, acting “as if” you already truly believe in yourself and are empowered is as good as the real thing. Our brains don’t actually know the difference. One small step, one small win, and we begin to create new pathways for being and behaving. Our systems get rewarded when we act “as if” there is nothing stopping us, take a more powerful stance, and this helps short circuit us to repeating this behaviour. The first small step is to know what empowerment truly looks like for you, and allow it to open up the possibilities for feeling and behaving differently this generates.
These changes aren’t necessarily instant or always easy to carry out, but they can and do happen if you are willing to do the work. The rewards are vast, as vast as human possibility. Now more than ever we need creators, leaders, healers, people willing to stand up and show up. We all need greater empowerment, and while this takes courage, it also brings courage; a brilliant feedback loop that benefits us and the world we live in. If we don’t show up now, then when?

Oh the power of real life connection! 💜
Part of putting myself out there was to see if a group of Brighton based coaches would like to get together. I've returned from our first coffee and chat inspired and refreshed.
Most importantly, I'm reminded of how valuable real support, open space, authentic conversation and connections are (spot the obvious coaching link 😉😅). Yep, even, or perhaps especially, coaches are definitely seeking like minded souls for this kind of foundation. We all need a place to share and ask questions, vital if you are supporting others. Give to yourself first, so you can truly give to your clients.

I'm always grateful when clients send me wonderful testimonials, and even more so that I get to do the work I love! There's no greater privilege than being asked to walk with someone on their journey.
Need unlocking, guidance, space to explore and go deep? Looking to find your way home to yourself and all that you know, deep down, you can be? I'm opening up a few spaces for new clients who are ready for transformation. DM for info 💜 It could be the very best gift you give yourself this year 💜

Hello 2022! This is the year of PERMISSION. Permission to be fully who you are, show up, be imperfect, vulnerable and whole.
This year I give myself permission to do the same. My own journey this year is about being visible, bold and unapologetically ALL of who I am.
Yes, it's scary, yes the fear is real. But I know the things I fear are also what really help me grow. I know this helps my clients too, and we gently but bravely look at fears and work through them, stepping into potential and possibility.
Scary though it is, my first step this year is to publish my musings and rambles here. Maybe some will resonate for others.
Most importantly, they come from my heart and are a part of me I no longer want to hide. We all have magnificent wings to spread, when we don't hold ourselves back.
It Was Always You
The thing is, what has kept you safe, valid and needed though it has been, is now also keeping your biggest truest self from shining. The world needs your light and the world needs YOU. The you that is your unapologetic and boldest expression of your innermost truth. We need inspirational leadership...
