TRE is a gentle, body-based practice designed to help the nervous system release built-up stress and reset. It works by activating the body’s natural shaking or trembling response — something we all have — which helps the body let go of tension and return to a calmer, more balanced state.
The group:

Taking a moment today, now the crowds have gone, to take a breath.
I find the beach such a calming place. It anchors me. Sadly I don’t get down there as much as I’d like, so today was a real treat.
What anchors you? Perhaps the sea as well? Or a walk in the woods? Or maybe that first five minutes of breath work in class when you’re settling in, deepening the breath, noticing how your body is feeling, the good, and the bits that need attention.

A reminder that in Pilates, it’s often the smallest movements that ask the most of us. The slower, more controlled, micro-adjustments can feel far more challenging than the bigger, more dynamic exercises — because they ask for precision, control, connection and awareness.
That’s one of the most beautiful things about a Pilates practice: the challenge is often hidden in the intricacy of how you move. It’s not always about moving bigger, faster or harder. Sometimes, the real work happens when we slow down, refine, and focus on the details.
So every now and then, come back to the smaller, more intentional movements. The ones that ask you to pause, connect and move with purpose. Because often, this is where the real change happens ✨
