We're excited to announce a very special evening at BMYC. On Wednesday 15th April 2026, we're hosting a Safety at Sea talk and full liferaft demonstration - led by the team at SeaGo - one of the UK's leading names in marine safety.

This is a hands-on, interactive evening. Whether you're new to sailing or have thousands of miles behind you, this one is worth your evening.

Hi folks, the Cruising Schedule for '26 launched! Start booking your spaces now to secure your place!

We have another brilliant season lined up for BMYC Cruising this year with all the familiar favourites you enjoy, plus some exciting new additions.

To finalise and confirm these rallies, we need your bookings in. So please grab your calendar / Filofax / vellum scrolls and start blocking out the dates!

Alongside the scheduled rallies, we'll also be organising ad-hoc, short-notice outings whenever the weather looks too good to resist whether that's a perfect summer evening or a blue-sky Saturday morning. We'll use WhatsApp to rally a few boats and get part of the fleet out together at short notice.

We fully expect the usual cruising calamities: boats running aground, skippers "resting their eyes" a little too long, fouled propellers, and the like and for all of this, the PFOS will, as ever, be on hand.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of our dear friend, Hervé Andrieu.

Hervé was a valued member of our club for many years and, more recently, an owner of Joyride, which he and the team raced with great enthusiasm throughout the season. His presence, both on and off the water, will be profoundly missed by us all.

Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and his many friends during this difficult time.

We will share details of arrangements as soon as they are available.
