Sussex Hawks Ultimate Frisbee

Just over a week ago, Sussex Hawks began our annual Movember campaign!

For those who don't know, Movember is a charity that urges people to grow out their facial hair in the name of men's mental health and su***de prevention, as well as testicular and prostate cancer. The organisation help millions worldwide by funding over 1250 men's health programs ranging from biomedical research, to support networks for sufferers, even influencing government policy.

They are an amazing charity which we are thrilled to support year on year. Last year we managed to raise almost £600! You can help us help them by sharing, or donating at the link below.

It’s been a long and hard year of many trials and tribulations. We’re all ready to return to some form of normality but at this club we’ve always prided ourselves on standing out from the crowd. Over the past year we’ve all grown, changed and supported one another. To reflect this, we’re proud to unveil our brand new logo designed by Helen Burdfield.

We’ve a new look but we’re still the same friendly, fun and hard working club we’ve always been. Massive thanks to Helen for her work once again! We can’t wait for the year that’s about to come!

CALLING ALL HAWKS

We come bearing exciting news on the beautiful Saturday…

UKU has announced the return of club play from the 29th March which means WE’RE BACK!!

Training will re-commence from Monday- yes THIS Monday on Stammer park (literally next to the clump) from 1-3.

So dust off your boots, grab your disc and a light and a dark and get yourself down to the clump for our big return.

Let’s make this last term huge

That's a wrap on November, bring on Christmas!

One week into Movember and some are hairier than others 🧑👨🧔 Some good fundraising going on nonetheless, with £275 in donations within the first 7 days! With that in mind, last year's total of £600 is in sight.

As before, we are taking donations at the link below, and are each taking donations separately as well. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and will go towards prolonging the lives of young men across the country ❤

In light of new information we have decided to cancel training tomorrow for the safety of everyone. There were two workers at chalk last night who have tested positive and we do not want to tempt people to come out just because the app is not telling them to self isolate. Unfortunately this takes us to the end of frisbee as a group until after lockdown, however everyone is encouraged to continue throwing in a safe way that meets Bojos standards.

Beginners, tonight is your last chance to sign up for the tournament on Wednesday!

Hawks Beginner’s Tournament Beginners, the time to use your newly acquired frisbee skills has come. Though corona has cancelled our usual string of Autumn tournaments and weekends away this won’t stop us hosting an event to rival SICKO beginners. Once again, it is time for Sussex Hawks to join thousands of others across the country in the Movember campaign.

Movember is a noble charity dedicated to su***de prevention in young men, and to fight against testicular and prostate cancer. Those participating will be growing out a moustache for the month of November, and will be collecting donations for the charity.

What you can do to help:

- Share and promote to get our message heard
- Participate! It's not too late, if you want to join in, then download the Movember app, associate yourself with our team (ID available on request), and get your tache on!
