A full strip down and rebuild of this lovely Ripmo trail bike, restored back to good-as-new condition after many filthy miles

Autumn ride 🍂

Kicking off the New Year with this lovely resto-mod we finished just before Christmas. The bike is a Claud Butler Cresta from the 1970s, and hadn’t been used in a couple of decades - scroll for the “before” photos! We had a derailleur hanger welded on and the frame resprayed, then built the bike up with all new components - a particular highlight is the 1x10 drivetrain with old school friction shifter. The customer has had this from new, and as he is now in his 70s we went with a wide swept-back handlebar and comfy gravel tyres

Took advantage of a quiet day in the shop to ride my gravel bike on some gravel 😊

It’s beautiful out there at the moment, 10/10, would recommend

This was a frame and rear wheel replacement, following a mid-race, mid-peloton crash that wrote off the originals, made possible by insurance
