We will be running free bike check up in Library Square from 11-5pm. STRICTLY NO CHECK UPS AFTER 5PM. Also .point.sussex will be selling lights, locks and helmets - these are a must-have!

Today we celebrated a momentus occasion- our first Bike Shack social ride of the year! We went from Sussex campus to Rottingdean and back along the picturesque seafront.
It was so great to see everyone there and we're looking forward to seeing you all at our next social- or around the shack! 🚴💨

It's been another great semester of bike repair but we've sadly come to the end of the year where we have to close the Bike Shack😔.
Any summer opening times we might have will be posted here on instagram.

With term ending and deadlines coming up, we've had to temporarily reduce our open hours. We are now open from 1pm to 3pm every Monday and Friday- please feel free to drop in for help in bike repairs anytime between these hours!

New blackboard and times for this new (4 weeks in is still new, right?) term up on The Bike Shack doors!

Where? Brighton Bike Hub’s east Brighton lockup at the site 🚌

Why? Because if you can take a bike apart, you’re halfway to putting one together 😉

Our first semester was a bit of a slow burner but things picked up by the end. This term we:

🚲 sold 11 bikes
🛠 ran 12 bike fixing sessions
🙌 fully repaired 15 bikes and supported over 30 people with their repairs

Looking to the new year we’ll be picking up the bike fixing sessions again, starting led rides, and hope to support more students and staff to become more confident mechanics and cyclists 🫶
