Congratulations to everyone who received their A level results today!! We cannot wait to welcome you all to Sussex hockey.

A few key dates to keep in mind:
Trials dates!
Friday 29th September: 2:30-4:30
Sunday 1st October: 12-2

TRIAL AND TASTER DATES

23rd: 16:00- 16:45 taster session, 16:45- 18:30 trials (please arrive for 16:30)
25th: 11:00-13:00 trials

All sessions will take place at Falmer Sports Complex on astroturf.
We will have a member of committee waiting at coop 20 minutes before every session begins to show you where the pitch is.

Please bring all your hockey kit!! Shin pads and mouth guards included. If you don’t have a stick don’t worry, we have a few spare for u !!

Any one is welcome to both the trials and taster. We recommend that if you have never played hockey before that you come to the taster session, we hope that you like it enough that you stay on for trials after!!

Don’t forget you can also come and talk to us at the freshers’ fair, we will be there throughout the day in the marquee.

Trainers, shin pads and gum shields, we have lots of spare sticks if you have forgotten yours or don’t have one.🏑

We will be holding 2 trials so it is essential you attend both if you are wishing to play in any of our competitive teams. All abilities are welcome, we look forward to seeing your skills!

We suggest you arrive to the pitch with enough time to be ready to start as soon as the session begins. We will have someone from our wonderful committee meeting people outside Co-op 20 minutes before all 3 sessions to direct you to the pitch.

We encourage everyone to take a lateral flow test before all sessions and to not attend if you are showing any symptoms.

Our official statement after the university’s decision to suspend all sport 💙

We’re excited to announce the new training plan we’ve had in the works! We’ve been able to add an hour of pitch time to give development & social use of a full pitch, and provide our 3rd squad with a dedicated coach and their own pitch slot. This has allowed us to welcome nearly 60 freshers to the club, and - as well as our beloved seniors - give as many people access to our wockey family as we can! Sessions are every MONDAY 🙌🏻

If you attended trials and haven’t received an email about joining the Facebook group, please DM us 🏑

We’ve had so much interest from you guys that unfortunately both sessions are now fully booked! If you’re still interested in joining the club, please please add yourself to our waiting list. We are working hard to find a solution, and want as many people as possible to access our wonderful club ❤️
