First race in nearly a year at Battle in the Bowl yesterday for Steve Calland. Unfortunate mechanical on the last lap meant Steve couldn’t battle it out for a win and had to settle for 3rd in the 40+ race. Photos courtesy of Upgrade Bikes (Rory)

Today didn't quite go as planned with a team of 4 at the Brighton Mitres Surrey League 2/3. Within 10miles had a double puncture. Leaving and to cover all the moves and try to get a break going. Unfortunately nothing was sticking today and late in the day punctured leaving Barney and Loz to try to fight it out, the guys battled but kept it safe and rolled in the bunch. Its great to be racing together and hoping it will continue in the near future 🙏 thanks as always to for the pics and playing taxi to !

We're back in business racing outdoors on the "Road" again at last! Strong showing today with taking to Preston Park. An early split with 10 riders breaking clear, in a move that lasted all race. Various nudges throughout all coming back for the bunch sprint. Stu having punctured with 3 to go had to settle for 10th, Barney with a 1.5 lap kamikaze chase to stop a lone escapee to keep Mark in contention meant he came away with 9th while Mark with 90+miles in his legs from yesterday rode to a stong 3rd place just not having the legs on the day to match 1st & 2nd. Great to be back and much more to come! @ Preston Park, Brighton

The team are delighted to announce their second signing for the 2020 season. Ben Huttly joins his fellow Brighton mitre Lawrence Coyle in the making the switch to sdb. The gaffer said: I have been impressed by the way that Ben and Lawrence have ridden together for the last couple of seasons as a duo. Ben has huge potential to keep progressing, he climbs well and is aggressive which fits our set up nicely. We looks forward to seeing what next season brings for Ben.
