A decent mirror carp in amongst loads of silverfish yesterday. Managed another carp and lost a stunning common which is going to haunt me for a bit!

Fantastic evening on a small river this week taking good numbers of trout and some grayling that hadn't read the rule book!

On the dries 😎

Persisting on dries isn't always the best way to bank numbers of fish but patiently waiting for rises to cover at Farmoor on Sunday was a rewarding and challenging way to spend a majority of my session. Managed 8 on dries in the end with a few more on lures and nymphs In-between.

Loads of fish on a variety of methods including dries which was a real treat. Great signs for the rest of the season!

Another poor angling effort from me, I may have to rename this page "Ben Fox"
Anyway the little fishing I've done has been very enjoyable. I've shared some great memories with the students from work and my friends. Since ending Fly Guy a couple of years ago I've fished far less than I would like and I dare to say I'm not as efficient with a fly rod as I have been, but fishing is still my great passion and, like every year, I'm going to vow to do more this year!
