We were up early for the recce for day 2 of the Hill Skills Course. We enjoyed a chocolate Hobnob with our coffee and listened to storm Kathlene do her worst. Not a difficult decision to change our plans!

We were out for a recce this weekend, for the Hill Skills Course at the end of April. The walk in on the first route to Pen Carrig Calch was fantastic. The track was now a stream by mid morning. Then Storm Kathleen hit us. We had lunch tucked into a fold on a North East aspect of Table Mountain and then made the decision to make our way down on the lee side of the hill. We were woken up on day two to very strong winds and heavy rain so, again the decision was made to cancel the walk, recce a few car parking options for the course and leave the Brecon Beacons for home. Still a worthwhile trip and I can't wait for the course.
