5 miles at 5am
Understandably, legs took a while to get going but after mile 1-2 we was flying. Calm heart rate also 📈
Busy day today so this was necessary.

Went to the gym and lifted weights tonight whilst the England women’s won the Euros which I was watching in between sets! 🏴
What a game and what a team! They actually did it 🏆
Got abit drunk Friday night and acted a fool, last time for a while - about to go ghost mode! Apologies in advance.

Why?
Why train? Why bother doing something you don’t wanna do, when you could be at home relaxing? I hear this often.
I’ll ask you this. Why brush your teeth? Why change your bedsheets? Why put the washing on the line?
Do you find enjoyment in these tasks? I doubt it.
They are a means to an end, this should be your attitude towards exercise & movement, you keep yourself in shape physically but most importantly mentally. It’s a necessity.
We are living in a world where everything is driven towards comfort and convenience so you are swimming against the tide constantly, faced with fad diets, magic pills, fat stripping milkshakes, all bo****ks designed to cater to those afraid to do what’s necessary, I truly believe we all know what we need to do to make our lives better, … keep at it and you will reap the rewards.

They said you can’t build muscle with bodyweight. They also say you can’t maintain muscle with running.
This is all I do 🤷♂️

F**k that run and everything it represents, talk about humid, I was struggling so much I was gonna knock it on the head at every milestone I approached, first 5k, then 5 miles, then 10k, then 7 miles, then tricked my mind into running ‘just’ another 5k which took me to my goal of 10miles.
I wanted to keep my av heart rate below 130 and missed it by 1 beat per minute. Ahh well.
Set a goal and give yourself the respect to get there. Your body will find a way.
My first ever slow mo’ ring muscle up with my son as my coach…
My fav bit is his “wowwww” ❤️
Slowly, very slowly getting to where I wanna be with some if these movements🙏

A man of my word, my U8’s tournament went on a little later than anticipated but that’s no excuse. Besides some of my little warriors didn’t believe I was going to run after we all had gotten drained by sun. This one’s for you lads hahahahah.
5 miles, it wasn’t easy, it wasn’t fast nor pretty but we got around and got it in, that’s all that matters.
Hope you all had a good weekend & if you didn’t, tomorrows the beginning of a new week so set some goals and get after it. Make yourself proud, the first step is always the hardest. ❤️

First run in a week and it was a hot one, then ‘easy’ 10k went out the window from the first step 😂😂,a sun 50min half, not bad, I think those speed sessions have definitely had an impact on my performance, felt comfortable but challenging if that makes sense.
I wanna run a few more events before the year ends and go for some new PR’s. Let’s go.
