Sara is an experienced senior leader within Education, including holding a Masters in Education and the NPQH. She trained to be an executive and personal coach with Barefoot Coaching and is registered with the ICF. Sara has a commitment to ongoing professional development and is currently completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching with the University of Chester. Appointments can take place in person in the Bristol area of the UK or online internationally.

Event = Thought = Emotion

We react to our interpretation of events rather than directly to the events themselves. If we can change the way we think about events we can change the emotions that we have. Coaching can help you explore your automatic reactions to events to help you change the way you think and feel.

Self Coaching Moment: Feeling overwhelmed with what is on your plate right now? What is good enough?

1. Make a list of the most important areas of your life. Your health? Family? Hobbies? Jobs?
2. Under each heading write down what you would like to do and 'Ideally' how long you would like to spend on them.
3. Now put a star next to the things that you see as essential and review the time next to them to be what you think you can realistically fit in each week. This is your "Good enough list".
Example: Ideally exercise daily .... good enough to get out for a brisk walk 3 days a week.

Sometimes you are winning when life is just good enough!

Stress is a natural part of life and it isn't always a bad thing! For example, feeling nervous can actually help us to perform our best in that important meeting. The secret is to make sure that you don't end up "going over the top" and risking Burnout. Coaching can help you keep your stress levels in check.
