Job Description:

LGV Driver Trainer, £26,000 – £36,500 per annum salary, normal working hours monday to friday, flexible start times. Full Time, Bristol

Duties and Responsibilities include

Delivery of LGV learner driving courses to DVSA test standard.
Preparing candidates for DVSA LGV theory and driving tests
Undertaking driver assessments and development of LGV licence holders.
Assessing and ensuring that participants have the required skills to effectively and safely perform the driving duties that their role requires.
Ability to deliver DCPC in line with JAUPT requirements.
Responsibility for the supervision of course participants and risk assessments, Health & Safety requirements and relevant to Driver or Classroom Training.
Qualifications/ Knowledge Required

LGV C&E Driving Licence (3 years minimum)
3 Years’ worth of LGV driving experience
Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information
A good standard of computer literacy
Instructor qualifications beneficial but training will be provided.

About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
• Delivering of variety products from our customers base and delivering to RDC’s, retail stores and warehouses.
• Planning route on a day-to-day basis.
• Delivering loads throughout the UK, this will include nights away – night out allowance will be paid.
• Dealing with customers face to face, WhatsApp and over the phone.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
• Managing your working time and driver hours when away from home to comply with legislation.
• Attending regular training sessions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
• Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence, ready to take on the open road with confidence.
• Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring you're always compliant and prepared.
• Bring your passion for delivering exceptional customer service, making every interaction count.
• Thrive under deadlines, showcasing your ability to work efficiently and effectively.
• Be a confident, polite, and collaborative team player, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Have excellent geographical knowledge, navigating routes with ease and precision.
