Brands - rounds 1&2
The boys had a brief a few days before the meeting commenced. It was short and simple, race hard, race clean, don’t hold each other up but most importantly, ENTERTAIN. Race 1 had me bouncing around like a puppy. Genuinely a great race to watch and wish I was apart of. 7 or 8 cars fighting for the win, anything could have happened. I’m really proud of everyone who turned up to keep these wonderful little cars alive. The racing was awesome and all cars damage free. Rub marks are acceptable!
Congratulations to our very own double race winner Max Noble. Race 1 was the best I’ve seen him drive.
His brother Big Gus done amazing well undertaking his first ever race weekend and he smashed it. Has a great technique and dare i say it, he’ll be at the front in no time.
Matt Kendall equally drove amazingly, he’s listened to everything I have told him and took every opportunity that presented itself. At one point Matt lead the races for 5 or 6 laps before dropping back to a safe 2nd only to suffer fuel surge at bottom bend dropping him to 4th. Fuel was a calculated gamble and it very nearly payed off. Again, many are now looking at Matt as a serious threat and so they should. Paul Mousell pulled possibly the best overtake many of us will see all year. A pro move at club level 👌🏻.The standard of driving was excellent. Paul took silverware for overall honours and a double masters win. Lastly, our international entry, the one and only shabby. Almost everyone was blown away with Shabbys performances. In both races he was apart of the 7-8 car gaggle fighting for the win. A lap time target was set of a 58.3. In race 2 he hit the target precisely.

Race 2 was a first P1,2,3,4,5 For Parkes Motorsport. Never done before, all credit to the drivers for absolute performances.

The BMW’s are next out in 4 weeks @ Snetterton. If you have a car sat there doing nothing, get off your back side and come join the fun.

Massive thanks to Vinyllux for smashing 3 cars out in short notice for us. They’ve nailed it on there first attempt. It’ll be hard to miss these on track now!🤣 just a few finishing touches to do and off we go.

Running in done, that’s 1 step closer…. Graphics next week and then shake down. God this thing looks good! 🥰
