We've been a bit quiet, but, news!!

Dan has joined a ready made crew that leaves The Caneries in January and he is off! 😊 Destination, Antigua 🇦🇬 some 4800 kilometres away! 😳😳 what have he done 😂😱

Mind The Atlantic has evolved some over the last couple of years and that hasn't come to an end, instead that crew, whoever it may end up being, get a someone that has credentials. That In turn could aid our own sponsorship etc for the rest of the crew.

My new crew will be raising much need donations for the RNLI.

This weekend we have our fingers crossed for fine weather as Oli and Dan take on a full day of rowing pretty much non stop on the coast of Cornwall.

This row is a fund raiser, not for MTA this time, but for a great cause and well loved local, Roger.

With just 6 days to go until the big day we thought we'd show you what's planned for our Marathon rowers after they complete their epic challenge.

Ace day out on the water

Dan from the Mind The Atlantic Crew out yet again in a rowing boat 😂😉 This time heading into the Bristol Channel for some white horses.

Last weekend one of our crew was lucky enough to go out on the water with the crew Raring to Row who are taking on the Atlantic too in early December this year.

Absolutely amazing! The ocean boat was comfortable, plenty of room really considering its purpose.

Hi Followers. We thought we would update to let you know that between us we did smash the 1000000 metre challenge and we now thought we would carry on with the challenge by extending it to 1000000 metres each. 😳😳

We are still here, still training. Adam is absolutely smashing this challenge and has little more to do to complete his 1 million metre goal. Amelia and Oli are now training for a world championship with Bristol Pilot Gig Club and within their own rowing crews will continue to update their progress, watch their tally grow quickly now. Dan has changed tack and is now focusing on cycling, indoor rowing, running and general coastal rowing with his local crew Clevedon Coastal. That's the rowing crew mentioned 🙂🙂

Happy new year everyone, we hope you all feel refreshed and ready to tackle January.

We are still plodding on with our 1 million metre challenge, it's a really large number! 😳🙄😛 So after a very short break and one Covid illness we are all back.

On Sunday two of us rowed a marathon distance, and the remainder are in the gym almost daily clocking up mammoth metre-age! 🧐

We now do this challenge alongside our normal day to day work and also for three for us our own rowing club in Bristol has asked us to complete a fast 12 minute ergo and submit by 21st Jan, so some of our uploads will be shorter as we practice for that.

Have a think about all those racing the Atlantic Ocean since early December 2021 who are STILL rowing a 2hrs rowing - 2hrs rest pattern as they have been since they left 😳

That'll be us one day soon ish!

We promised an update.

The crew has completed 345,000 m, or roughly the distance between Lands End, Cornwall to Manchester. A mix of rowing on the water, rowing an ergo and a small smidge of cycling or walking. A heavy bias towards rowing and ergo obviously.
