Personal training ...
We know that the health and fitness industry is constantly evolving, and that there has been a dramatic increase in ‘fitness influencers’ as well as many options for online and follow-along workouts (many are very good btw) ... but is the industry trend moving away from personal training? Maybe.
I love coaching in person! I feel I am in my element when coaching in person, in the gym. Being able to recognise the small subtleties in an individual’s movement, sharing in the enthusiasm when clients first start training and watching their confidence grow every week ❤️
I was able to realise the benefits of having a personal trainer from my own experience. A trainer is not just there to count the reps, being a good trainer means to constantly learn and adapt the best pathway for clients and to deliver the best possible experience.
I know that I do this best in person!

'An under-active thyroid condition combined with having a child, a global pandemic, no childcare, working full time, limited sleep…seems like the list of reasons not to workout, eat mindlessly or not take my health seriously was endless.
And it’s true, all the reasons were valid & no one was going to challenge me on it. However, I was not happy inside. I didn’t feel strong either physically or mentally and really wanted to start focussing on ‘me’ again. Everything was out of whack, from my ideas on healthy eating to workout regularity / activity levels. I really didn’t know where to start.
I contacted Geeta & arranged to meet her. She spoke to me at length about what my current circumstances were and helped me to create a plan that was incremental and sustainable. She educated me on optimising my nutrition and even when my ‘progress’ wasn’t as fast as I wanted it to be, she kept assuring me to just trust the process.
I put ‘progress’ in inverted commas because I realised that the real progress I made was not on the scales or tape measure but it was mentally. Mentally I was becoming stronger & the primary driver for working out shifted from weight loss to feeling good. Yes I wanted the weight loss but I started to crave the endorphin high of a good sweat too!
I still have a long way to go and my goals have shifted for 2022 but for anyone, at any stage of their fitness journey I would highly recommend working with Geeta!'

New Year Goals
Here we are again, traditionally the time of year when we plan a reset and revise or reinvent the goals.
Over recent years I've worked with many clients who have had similar goals to lose weight and build some muscle. A formula of consistency with training and diet, an investment of time and patience has seen these goals accomplished... but what is always refreshing and inspiring to me is to see how training goals alter and develop with the time spent in the gym.
My own training journey started just like many others do with wanting to look a certain way. I experimented and learned lessons along the way and found that by the time my original goals had been met, I had in fact set many more! Training had become an integral part of my life and consequently my health (both mentally and physically) was greatly improved.
What I have been able to learn during my own training journey now plays a large part in how I approach coaching and helping the people that I am fortunate enough to work with. I continue to be very proud that people come to me for advice and guidance on how to reach their individual goal. Remember that consistency is going to be key, be open to change and the rest will come ✨
