On Saturday ten co-op members got trained up in emergency first aid!
As well as all just feeling safer should anything go wrong, this also means we can now offer "open gym" sessions where you can come in and do your own workout using our equipment!
We will be trialling this on three Tuesday evenings while Isi is on holiday, starting next week.
This is something we've been asked about since starting back in 2016 so we're excited to be able to offer it.

KICKBOXING TASTER CLASSES ON MONDAY! ✨
We are delighted to present two sessions led by Ash from Athena Combat Club, a women's and non-binary kickboxing club designed as a safe space for all women and NB people to enjoy this brilliant sport.
Ash will be leading two taster classes for all genders on Monday 6th June, from 18:00-19:00 and 19:15-20:15, in place of strength training while Guy's on holiday.
Both sessions will be aimed at beginners and all equipment will be provided, though feel free to bring your own if you'd like. Scaled options will be given for all exercises.
This is an exciting chance to try this fun, challenging and cathartic sport in a safe, inclusive environment.

The ceiling tiles are down!
Huge thanks to everyone who came and got down and dusty on a Friday afternoon! 🕺
It’s very exciting to begin the renovation. Next step is tidying up the electrics and fixing the lights.

Starting next week we are offering a second All-Round Weightlifting class on a Thursday evening 19:15-20:15
Our Monday class keeps selling out so we've added another one.
Feel the joy of lifting heavy things!
No experience is necessary. We begin with broomsticks and work up from there.

We are now one of a very small number of fitness businesses pioneering a sliding scale approach to pricing and are proud to demonstrate how well it can work. 🤗
Standard membership costs £39 and we offer sliding scale options of £26 and £52 too, allowing members to pay as they are able to.
All give access to three classes per week and our archive of recorded sessions.
All new members begin with three free class credits to be used in their first week with us.

Many of us grew up knowing the bare minimum about our cycles and were even taught that our periods were something to be embarrassed by. But what if the stories we were told weren’t true and our cycle could be an ally rather than an enemy in our lives?
Lottie will cover:
🌱 Digging into the four phases of the menstrual cycle and considering their unique qualities.
🌱 Inquiring into how the menstrual cycle relates to the other cycles in the natural world and beyond.
🌱 Dispelling some of the myths about having a menstrual cycle.
🌱 Exploring where we struggle with our cycles and where we feel at our best.
🌱 Supporting one another to imagine what changes we could make both individually and collectively that might make our cycles easier (and possibly even pleasurable?) for us.
🌱 Considering the politics of menstruation and so-called PMS.
🌱 Discussing methods for tracking and recording our rhythms.
🌱 Giving time for sharing and discussion.
Whether you have a regular cycle or an irregular one; hate your period or love it; struggle with tough symptoms or breeze through each month - this workshop welcomes all experiences.

PB stands for Personal Best. This is a social session on the last Friday of each month where you can test your strength in a non-competitive, celebratory environment.
Pizzas are not mandatory but always encouraged. Bring cash / card to cover your takeaway order.
A few people have asked us about a more unstructured, "open gym"-style session and this is our first experiment with offering that!
