Really pleased to have made a large donation today to Blaise High School in North Bristol and to have met their lovely Head of PE Jaz. The donated trainers and Astro boots will go a long way to supporting the young people at this school.

Please followers if you have any form of sports shoe you no longer use consider making a donation to the exchange so more young people can enjoy their sport and lead a healthy lifestyle.

A small request.

I really love my banner that was made for me as a charitable donation by However I am hoping to upgrade to something that can stand up on its own rather than need to be hung or tied up when I am out and about.

I have been quoted approximately £75 for this. So I am reaching out to my followers to see if a business, individual or maybe even a club would like to get behind the scheme and make a contribution to the cost of a stand up banner.

The Trainer Exchange is expanding!!!

Some things about The Trainer Exchange are staying the same, namely the primary purpose which is to promote and facilitate safe and appropriate footwear for . Also the fact that the scheme is free! I will never take money from anyone for a pair of trainers.

In the recent past I have been very generously gifted trainers and other footwear for a variety of sports, Astro boots, cricket shoes and all manner of running trainers. I am expanding the exchange to take any and all types of sports footwear and working collaboratively with schools across the south west of England (and recently as far away as London) to make sure that children can access footwear for their school PE lessons.

So please please before that pair of boots/trainers/running spikes go in the bin, drop me a message and I’ll either collect myself or make use of my network to get the donation collected.

A lot has already been said on social media these past two days since the announcements surrounding NSL 2.0, my two pence worth is….

Yes I absolutely understand the need to professionalise the league. Yes I understand the need for arena space for games to be played. And yes I understand that weren’t able to fulfil this in their tender.

What I cannot comprehend is the loss, genuinely overnight of all the structures and development opportunities across the south west. This initiative supports the very grass roots of netball. But that’s where every single elite player first started out. Now, as the announcement has been made without any clear indication of support for pathways there is also therefore a huge loss of opportunity for those developing players as well as aspiring coaches and umpires.

Just as our partnership was starting out we’ve been cut so painfully short. Team Bath I’ve always been a fan. I shall miss my trips over as a fan and with the exchange. I genuinely and desperately hope that this is not a permenant goodbye, merely a see you again someday.

We’ve been getting loads of donations here at The Trainer Exchange. If you’re in need or know someone who is please remind them to check the highlights for all the stock we currently have. I keep it as up to date as I possibly can.

Also keep an eye on the story if you need to meet up with me as I will say where I’m going to be on the weekend so that people can meet me to collect or try trainers.
