First run of the afternoon inversion workshop was a great success! So much fun. Everyone came away with a great sense of achievement, feeling energised and good to go.

There are many good reasons to introduce inversions to your yoga practice: they help build strength and confidence, they boost mood, and reduce anxiety & stress.
Many inversion poses require significant core and upper body strength to hold yourself up. Regularly practicing inversions can help strengthen these muscles, which can improve your overall balance and stability, not just on the yoga mat but also in everyday activities.
Stress Reduction and Mental Well-being: The act of inverting can be calming and promote relaxation. Inversions may help to trigger the release of endorphins, which have mood-boosting effects, and can also help to reduce stress and anxiety.
Inversions have the affect of increasing oxygen delivery to your brain, which can leave you feeling more energized and alert. Inversions can also stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps remove waste products from your body, and can contribute to a feeling of lightness and well-being.

Tuesdays have changed! More yin, and an added yoga nidra practice. Now an hour and a half, of deep stretch and deep relaxation.
Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice that works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body: the ligaments, joints, and deep fascial networks.
This is followed by a guided yoga nidra meditation that is designed to take us into the deeper layers of our consciousness by working with body scan, breath and visualisation techniques.
