Coaching conversations that support you through change and transition. Working towards tangible outcomes that help you Focus, fire-up and flourish.
Some useful info:
1. Coaching can take place in person, via Zoom or by phone. In person sessions can be at a venue - I tend to use an office space in Redland - or outdoors. You have control over what works best for you.
2. The first session is always free. This is an exploratory session for me to understand what you want to achieve through coaching, for us to build the necessary rapport to be ab
le to work together effectively and to discuss how the coaching process will work best for you.
3. How many sessions you may need depends on what change you are trying to make and the complexity of the issue. Shifting mindsets, and behaviour changes can take longer that making a decision and taking action. Sometimes a single session is all that is needed. I will never insist you book a series of sessions that you may not need.
4. Coaching is not counselling. There are a couple of key differences that it is worth pointing out: A coach acts as a thinking partner not adviser. I will ask lots of questions in order to help you understand your issue better and reflect on what and how you want to move things forward but the choice in this is always yours. You need to be prepared to do the work :). Coaching is always client-led. Whilst we may be working on a a range of related topics over several sessions, we will set a focus and outcome for each coaching conversation so that we can measure progress be clear about your commitment to trying something new/taking some action before our next session.
5. The coaching process is focused around a conversation, but it can be useful to use other tools to help you 'unpack'issues or get a different perspective - this might involve writing things down, drawing pictures, moving positions, using models. If I think this may be useful, I may suggest we try something different - but the choice is always yours.
