Easter swim camp details! Swimmers from all clubs welcome for a fun 4 days improving stroke technique and skills.

Over 300 swimmers attended the junior open meet yesterday! We helped by collating all the entries on Hy Tek Meet Manager and creating the timings and programme for the meet. Results have been sent to rankings! Same again next Saturday!

Great finish to our 3 day camp today! Lots of happy faces as we worked on I.M. turns in the morning. Followed it after lunch with rounders in the pool (weather was a bit 🌧️) and finished working resistance and overspeed with parachutes, and bungee cords! We had a speedy turn competition a 40 max free + double-your-age and relays to determine the winning team. Team Jon best Team Mimi on the final push-a-brick-along-the-bottom-of-the-pool relay! Everyone went away with plenty of sweets and chocolate for their efforts!!! Hopefully this will be a great platform for the swimmers to start their season!

Honoured to be invited to Ayushi’s presentation for receiving her South West Region Youth Champion of the year award for raising over £4k for Southmead Hospital Charity by swimming 100 miles in a day! She also had a good weekend picking up multiple🥈and a 🥇 in the 200 Fly.

Long productive day at the pool today! 5 one-to-one lessons this afternoon and then on to Pontypool for the first round of the Cotswold League! Some great technical work done today with snorkels, fins and paddles (noodles and floats for the younger swimmers!). Also great swimming from swimmers showing great improvement over the last 12 months!

Last one to one sessions in the pool today before Christmas!

Mixed bag of abilities:

🔸Regional Champ - working on consistent aerobic pacing and stability and explosiveness in the gym

🔸Beginner - increasing confidence on back and leg kick

🔸1st time County Qualifier - leg kick development and arm recovery at speed!
