Pensford Tennis Club

CAMVALE Tennis Club and Pensford Tennis Club played a friendly match on Sunday, April 12. Men’s, ladies and mixed doubles matches were played throughout the afternoon in good spirits with an element of competition. Off court there was lots of socialising and refreshments provided. Carnvale and Pensford play through the showers CARNVALE Tennis Club had to dodge the showers as they welcomed their friends from the Pensford club for a friendly match between the two clubs on Sunday, April 12.

BREAKING NEWS! Pensford Tennis Club Somerset is pleased to announce that Dan Bellamy is joining us as our new Head Coach. Dan is currently undertaking his LTA Level 3 coaching qualification which he is due to complete by the end of May. Alongside his full time job, he will start coaching with us after the school Easter holidays. From Tuesday 21st April he will initially be providing Tuesday evening coaching. Suggested groups are as follows:
6.30-7.30 pm for older Juniors (previously 4.45- 5.45). 7.30-8.30 pm for Adults (previously 6.45-7.45). Dan will also be starting a junior programme on Saturday mornings. We will publish more info soon. Dan’s coaching company is Bellamy TennisDevelopment. Please email Dan on [email protected] for any coaching queries you might have.

Last night, a mindless attack occurred on the Pensford Memorial Hall Sportsground around our tennis courts. Persons unknown attacked our courts and caused damage to our outbuildings, equipment, court structures and the adjacent playground fencing. An attack of this kind is not just an attack on the Tennis Club it is an attack on our entire local volunteer and sporting community. ⭐️🎖🎖On Friday evening, Pensford Tennis Club said goodbye to one of our longstanding coaches, Dan Bellamy. We were so lucky that Dan and his brother, by chance, came to play at our club 10 years ago. Dan has been one of our coaches for 7 years but has now decided to leave full time tennis coaching to head off in a new direction. Dan and his fiancé Lauren came along to our Club Night and received a small presentation from members and the club. Dan will be terribly missed by us all but the club wishes him all the best in the future. We look forward to seeing him back on our courts in future for some social tennis. 🎖🎖⭐️ Avon Tennis UK
