🚨 CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

The club is delighted to officially announce Charlie Kempson’s appointment as the new Wessex Wanderers 1st Team Manager.

Having spent several years at the club as a player, Charlie transitioned into coaching last season. Working alongside Barry Dymianczuk as 1st Team Assistant Manager, he played a crucial role in the team becoming champions of the Bristol & Suburban Premier Division. He was also heavily involved in the Reserve team’s Alf Bosley Cup success.

The committee is thrilled that Charlie has accepted the role, and we’re confident he’ll elevate the club’s standards both on and off the pitch. Charlie’s genuine passion for the club, combined with his commitment, knowledge, and drive will be essential in helping Wessex continue to progress. He knows this club inside out, and we are excited to see him take the reins. 🤝

Wessex Wanderers can confirm that Barry 'bazza' Dymianczuk has made the difficult decision to step down as Wessex 1st Team Manager to focus on his health and family.

🏆 A Historic Legacy
Barry’s exceptional work over the last 12 months was key in guiding the club to our historic, first-ever Bristol & Suburban - Premier Division title. That incredible achievement will live long in the memory of everyone at the club, and we are immensely grateful for his dedication and leadership.

The committee, players, and supporters would like to thank Barry for everything he has achieved and wish him the very best as he prioritises his health and enjoys well-earned family time. Thank you, Bazza.

📋 Forward Planning
Having been informed of Barry’s decision prior to the end of the season, the committee has had the time to thoroughly evaluate our next steps. As a result, the club will officially announce his successor tomorrow.

Join us for our annual JMG Charity Day at Lockleaze Sports Centre

This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of former Wessex legend Scott Harrison, who sadly passed away earlier this year. ❤️🖤

For the first time, our entire club is coming together for one massive day. Here is what we have lined up:

Legends Match: Featuring our fantastic former players.

Current Players Match: Contested by players from both our men’s and women’s teams.

Junior Section Fun: Plenty of activities for our U6 to U13 squads.

Come down, show your support, and let's honour Scott's memory together as a club! 🙌

Calling all current Under 7 and Under 8 teams to come and join us at the 2026 Wessex Junior Tournament. Our friendly Festival of Football section is perfect for young players to experience a tournament environment for the first time.

Held on Saturday 20th June at Lockleaze Sports Centre. Played on 3G pitches with a fantastic viewing area. The terrace bar offers a wide selection of food and drink for players and fans to enjoy.

U7 and U8 will play 5-a-side (maximum squad size: 8)
Age groups as per the 2025/26 season.
