Happy Birthday parkrun 🥳🎂🎉🎈 🎁

Happy birthday to us 🎂

22 years ago, it all started with one event in Bushy Park, 13 finishers and five volunteers.

Today, nearly 13 million people are registered across more than 3,000 locations worldwide 🤯

What a journey it’s been 🧡

Parkrun is 22 this weekend! To celebrate the 2-2, if you want to too, please wear a tutu! Or two 😂

The park is starting to look very Autumnal now we will be heading into October's junior parkruns. There's lots of lovely things to see in the park, including the beautiful, changing leaves. Thank you to Flora and Mairi's Grandma who made these beautiful crowns while she waited for her granddaughters to run!

Congratulations to Deborah Evans who literally brought the Celebrations to Eastville juniors this morning to commemorate her 5th parkrun anniversary! Sadly, in the excitement, we forgot to hand them out so we look forward to opening them next week 🙈😁🍫

We have an amazing team of volunteers and we were especially lucky to have so many of our participants helping out today too! Andreas assisted with the First Timers briefing, Struan was tailwalking, Tymon did the warm up before and then scanned barcodes after and Jack helped to sort the tokens. What a fantastic team effort and a great way to earn a run credit and a volunteer credit on the same day 👏
